A Jayang-dong café with truly delicious bread
I'm introducing Stack Bakery, a Jayang-dong bakery café I visited on a day out near Konkuk Univ. It's a brand-new, atmospheric café that hit my taste perfectly, from the interior to the drinks to how the desserts look, and it's been getting hot on social media lately. I went in with high expectations, and the bread was even better than I expected, so I completely fell for it haha. It's nice for a quiet chat, but there aren't many tables, so I suspect it's hard to find a seat when it gets crowded. For anyone visiting a café in Jayang-dong, I'll lay out the menu info in detail and honestly.

Where are the seats at Stack Bakery?
The seats at Stack Bakery are only on the 2nd floor; there's nowhere to sit on the 1st floor. There are outdoor tables by the entrance, but with no awning they're hard to use in the sweltering summer, so just use the indoor seats haha. Right when you open the door, the bread is on display in front of you, so you simply pick what you want.
The 2nd floor had well-spaced tables and a layout where you can see the view outside through the big windows. It works fine for laptop work or reading alone, and it's also a great spot to come with a partner or friend and chat quietly.

Stack Bakery menu and bread prices
The drink menu at Stack Bakery is varied: basic espresso drinks, signature cream lattes, non-coffee drinks, ades and teas. When I went to the counter to order, the menu board was neatly organized and easy to read, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and the space.
The showcase next to the counter held lots of breads that go perfectly with drinks, and every one looked so pretty that I agonized over what to pick.

What did we order at Stack Bakery?
At Stack Bakery we ordered a variety that goes well with an Americano: a flat croissant, Maldon salt bread, chocolate flan and more. The bread here is seriously good. Seriously, order it twice. You have to eat it.

The buzzer went off and our order arrived on a tray, and the moment I saw it I worried about how we'd ever eat so much. But after one bite, that was a pointless worry. It was so good my hand kept reaching for more lol. I enjoyed it so much that all I could say was how delicious it was.

The view out the window from the 2nd-floor seats is lovely too. The Americano was clean, with no burnt or bitter taste, so they must use good beans, and I loved that.

How do the croissants and flan taste at Stack Bakery?
The croissants and flan at Stack Bakery were soft outside, moist and chewy inside, with a deep flavor that isn't overly sweet. I carefully cut the croissant and flan into bite-size pieces, and the moment I put one in my mouth I could feel that texture fully. Nothing was too intense or too sweet; the deep, rich flavor of the ingredients spread softly and elegantly, so I never got tired of it and kept reaching for more.
A bite of sweet dessert followed by a sip of bitter coffee balances out perfectly. The quality made it immediately clear why so many people say you must order dessert with a drink here. It felt fresh and handmade, as if prepared carefully in the shop every day, so I'm sure anyone who loves dessert tours will be very satisfied.
With lovely light coming through the big windows, it was a relaxed weekend afternoon at this Jayang-dong bakery café, Stack Bakery. Above all, the bread was really good, so if you want delicious bread near Jayang-dong, I recommend it haha

For reference, I hear it actually won a gold medal in the Final Ranking at Seoul Croissant, so for bread it's top-tier.
