In short
Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch is a two-floor bakery and brunch café near Ilgwang Beach in Gijang, Busan. On day 2 of a Busan family trip, the writer drove from Haeundae to Gijang, walked along Ilgwang Beach and arrived at Mandali To Go at 1pm, ordering ciabatta, a handmade jambon apple cream cheese sandwich, a watermelon smoothie and yuja crimson punch tea (yuja is a Korean citron) to enjoy slowly in the bread-scented 1st floor and the antique-style 2nd floor. Busan family trip day 2: a walk on Ilgwang Beach first
On day 2 of our Busan trip, we spent the night in Haeundae and then headed to Gijang. Before lunch, we strolled along Ilgwang Beach. Since it's a family trip, we tend to prefer relaxed, quiet places over busy ones. The clear blue October sky and the blue of the Busan sea were healing just to look at. After soaking up the sea breeze, we headed to a lunch spot near Ilgwang Beach.
Parking, exterior and wait times at Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch
There is parking in front of the shop. If it's full, you can use the Ilgwang Beach public parking lot (712 Samseong-ri) or the public lot near the Ilgwang-eup office (77-7 Ilgwang-ro) without trouble.
I booked for 1pm and arrived all happy and humming. Pets are allowed only on the outdoor terrace seats. The building's exterior is simple and gives a natural, comfortable feeling. It was peak lunch time, so there was a short wait, and we waited.
The 1st-floor bakery and kiosk ordering at Mandali To Go
The 1st floor has the bakery display and the counter. You look over the breads, then order at a kiosk. You know how good it feels to walk past a bakery with fresh-baked bread? That very smell drifts softly through the 1st-floor counter area.

The bakery is displayed on the 1st floor, and after browsing you can order easily at the kiosk. The staff were so kind, it put me in a good mood.

The wellness health breads are easy on the stomach and light, perfect as a brunch snack. Thumbs up, really good.

There's a wide variety of ciabatta, and the freshness of the morning bake looks delicious just from looking. I wanted to put them all in my basket, but I'll put down my bread-lover greed~ haha.

The natural little props here and there look lovely. Enjoying a relaxed time like this is a small happiness.

A brunch café near Ilgwang Beach that became a memory of our Busan family trip, full of warmth. They also have a 10% discount event when you take bread to go.

What is the 2nd floor at Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch like?
After ordering, you get a timer bell and head up to the 2nd floor. Even the staircase is rich with autumn feeling.

A crisp, clear autumn day, and it feels great looking out the window at the scenery outside. A big smile, a space full of mood.

The antique-style look suits autumn, and the round and square tables go together well. I enjoyed the short wait before our order came as relaxed time too.

The roomy space also has seating for bigger groups. With several people you could freely share food, or even hold a meeting.
How do the watermelon smoothie and yuja crimson punch tea taste?
Our order was prepared right away.

The watermelon drink tastes naturally of the ingredient itself. The yuja crimson tea, with a slice of lemon, has a deep aroma and flavor in harmony, exactly my style. Sipping it slowly, thumbs up, really good.
