Seongsu has so many great restaurants and pretty cafés and pop-ups, it's a great neighborhood for an outing with kids. This time we went out to Seongsu with the kids and stopped for lunch at Omil Seongsu ❤️

Parking tip. The public lot is cheap but there's often a queue and it can be hard to get in. Better to use the Buk-Seongsu private lot at ₩4,000/hour (via the Modoo Parking Lot app) or buy a Musinsa Terrace parking voucher on Kakao T 👍 🚗🚘 Taking public transit is recommended if you can 🤗

If you're looking for Seongsu brunch near Seongsu Station, this place is worth noting — the menu ranges from pasta to omurice, cheese katsu and fries, so it worked well visiting with a kid too. There were even some cute menu items kids would love, which got us excited before the food even arrived!!

Omil sits on Achasan-ro 5-gil in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. It's about 541m from Exit 1 of Seongsu Station, so an easy walk. It's tucked inside an alley with that distinctive Seongsu vibe, so it's a good pick whether you're after a Seongsu brunch spot or a Seongsu date spot 👍👍

Whew... we came in a bit past lunchtime, but there were still 7 tables waiting... No wonder it's known as a Seongsu brunch spot — even on a weekday there's a wait 🥲🥲 It was hot out, but there were waiting seats and cold water provided, so it was manageable!

The interior at Omil Seongsu isn't too formal, more relaxed, so eating there with a kid wasn't stressful at all. This is that Seongsu vibe 😎😎

There are plenty of great restaurants in Seongsu-dong, but choosing a menu that works with a kid actually matters a lot — and I liked that Omil has so many dishes kids would find fun and easy to eat 👍

Ahh... it was so hot that day that when the Coke from our Seongsu brunch order arrived first and I gulped it down, it tasted amazing. Seongsu weather is no joke 😱😱

Summer Vacation Rubber Duck Omurice, 16,900 won

A seasonal summer menu item — the name alone is cute, and the colorful look made it a hit with kids especially 👍

There's a cute rubber-duck-style decoration on top of the omurice (omelette rice), so our youngest showed interest the moment it arrived.

The omurice is soft and easy to share with a kid, and it's a good order when you want something a bit special for brunch in Seongsu. If you're planning things to do in Seongsu with kids, trying the seasonal menu could be fun.

Omil Steak, the signature dish at 35,900 won

One of the dishes we ordered was the Omil Steak. At ₩35,900, it's Omil's signature main dish 👍

Sous-vide-cooked flat iron steak, so the meat wasn't tough and stayed moist. It came pre-sliced for easy eating, and the rich red wine sauce added great flavor to the meat 👍👍

Paired with the roasted cherry tomatoes and vegetables on the side, it added a tangy, clean flavor that went well with the steak at Omil Seongsu.

Fries came as a side too, and even though we visited with kids, the steak was a dish adults could enjoy just as much~

Is Omil Seongsu worth it for brunch in Seongsu?

Omil has a varied enough menu to work for brunch, lunch, or dinner. What I liked most, especially when looking for things to do in Seongsu with kids, was how easy the menu made choosing. 'Seongsu brunch' tends to bring to mind light café-style dishes, but Omil has proper meal options like omurice, pasta, steak and cheese katsu, so it also worked well as a proper meal stop.

If you're looking for a Seongsu brunch recommendation near Seongsu Station, or somewhere to go with kids, Omil Seongsu is worth a visit at least once. It's good for a Seongsu-dong date, and it worked well as our lunch spot on a family outing to Seongsu too 👍

🚗 Parking On-site parking is difficult, so the Seongsu 2-ga 3-dong Public Parking Lot is recommended 👍 It's at 23 Gwangnaru-ro 4ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, about 30 seconds on foot from the restaurant. Fee is ₩100 per 5 minutes.
