In short
Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch is a gopchang (grilled beef intestines) restaurant at 93 Dorim-ro in Guro, Seoul, where the ajumma grills every piece at your table. On this third visit, two diners ordered 2 servings of gopchang with one bottle each of soju, cheongha and beer, and the egg-stuffed alkopchang tasted better than the garlic gopchang. This is a review that includes a visit paid for out of my own pocket haha.

I was racking my brain over dinner options near Daerim Station, and a few places came to mind. Among them, this is somewhere I've already been to three times — Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch! It's not a place I went to once and forgot about — I keep coming back whenever the craving hits, which by my standards means it's pretty solid. If you're searching for gopchang restaurants near Daerim Station, this might be worth checking out :) This time we went as a pair and ordered 2 servings of gopchang, 1 bottle of soju, 1 bottle of cheongha, and 1 bottle of beer.
Third visit to Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui near Daerim Station

Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch isn't fancily decorated — it feels more like a comfortable neighborhood spot you can just walk into for a drink. It's great for a drink after work, and just as easy for chatting casually with a friend. Being here for the third time, the whole vibe of the place already feels familiar haha.

We didn't hesitate to order 2 servings again this time. For reference, we found the alkopchang tastier than the garlic gopchang!
What side dishes come with gopchang at Gimga-ne

From pickles to garlic, chili peppers, carrots, ssamjang, and dipping sauce, everything is prepared nicely to go with the meal. Eating a pickle here and there in between really refreshed the palate and went well with everything.
When you order here, they also bring out tripe and raw liver alongside. We don't eat either, so this time we mentioned it beforehand and skipped them. If you usually enjoy tripe or raw liver, don't skip them — definitely give them a try! They looked to be in pretty good condition.
Hands off the tongs: the ajumma grills the gopchang for you

There's one thing I really want to emphasize about Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch. It's best to just not touch anything haha. The ajumma stays right beside you, checking the doneness and flipping everything, grilling it all for you. She even keeps checking and adjusting the heat level at the table.
It would be such a waste if I touched it myself and ended up burning it or losing the tasty fat inside ㅠㅠ If you're searching for gopchang restaurants near Daerim Station and visiting here, remember this part. It tastes best when you wait and eat exactly as the ajumma prepares it and tells you to haha.
How the gopchang looks sizzling on the grill

Once the gopchang starts turning golden brown, a generous pile of chives goes on top. The sizzling sound and smell alone make you crave a drink right away. The outside cooks up nicely golden, and biting in you get that distinctive savory flavor inside, so one piece leads straight to the next.
Soju, cheongha and beer: one bottle of each for two

There's no way you can not drink in front of a spread like this, right...? That day we drank a really well-rounded mix — one bottle of soju, one bottle of cheongha, and one bottle of beer haha.

Eating a golden-brown piece and then taking a sip of cold beer is just the best, and when you want something a bit stronger, soju or cheongha pairs really well too. It was such a perfect day for two of us to eat something delicious and have a drink together♥
Why Gimga-ne is still worth a third visit

Honestly, the taste speaks for itself. It's genuinely delicious. There's a reason I've already come here three times — eating it with the chives balances out the richness while keeping that savory flavor, so you just keep eating, and dipping it lightly in the sauce works well too. Eating it again this time, I thought, 'right, this is the taste that brought me back.'
Among gopchang restaurants near Daerim Station, it's rare for me to visit somewhere three times, but Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch didn't lose much satisfaction even on a repeat visit. What's more, not having to worry about grilling it myself and just chatting while receiving perfectly cooked pieces is one of the things I love about it.
There are so many places where you say "I'll come back again~" after a good first visit and then never actually do. But here, I actually kept that promise and this is already my third visit! If you're looking for somewhere to have a relaxed drink near Daerim Station, or prefer a place where someone grills it for you, this one's worth checking out. I'll probably naturally end up back here again next time I get the craving haha.
