Today's story is about a Songdo café I visited with my mom. She recently said she wanted to try a real coffee hotspot, so I did a lot of searching, haha.
Songdo has so many cafés, but it's surprisingly hard to find one where both the bread and the coffee are good, right? The place I found is Cozy Bear, a Songdo bakery café in Incheon famous for its salt bread.

The moment we walked in, the smell of freshly baked bread was so amazing that we both gasped, haha. The lattes were good and the atmosphere was bright, so let me start the story of Cozy Bear!
What do Cozy Bear's exterior and terrace in Songdo look like?

Cozy Bear is a salt bread bakery café on Haedoji-ro in Songdo. The COZY BEAR lettering on the white sign is cute, isn't it? Even among Songdo bakery cafés in Incheon, it looked clean and stylish from the outside.

The big glass windows make it look bright even from outside. There are also terrace seats in front of the shop. The COZY BEAR logo runs vertically in large letters beside the entrance, so it was easy to find.

On a nice day, it looked like the perfect spot to sit on the terrace with a coffee, haha.
Cozy Bear's bright, cozy interior, ideal for a café visit with Mom

Inside Cozy Bear it's all white and wood tones, clean, with bright lighting that lifted my mood. It felt relaxed and easy to bring Mom to, perfect for chatting and taking a break.

In front of the counter, there was a whole spread of freshly baked salt bread! With that look plus the smell, it's hard to resist. Seeing trays piled with salt bread started a happy dilemma over what to eat.

Rows of salt bread glistening with butter looked so appetizing.

Further inside is THE BEAR'S KITCHEN, and you can see the bakery kitchen through the window.

I read the Cozy Bear notes placed around the tables one by one, and they had real charm. They say each tray is baked with care, with good butter, salt and time spent waiting. I also liked the line about wanting to make bread that gives you a little rest in a busy day.

The illustration of a little bear hugging a salt bread was so cute that I stared at it for ages, haha.

Cozy Bear salt bread varieties and prices

True to a salt bread hotspot among Songdo bakeries in Incheon, Cozy Bear had a really wide variety of salt bread. There's a reason it keeps popping up when you search for Songdo bakery cafés in Incheon.

Golden brown outside, with coarse salt sprinkled on top! Up close, the butter smell was even stronger.

The most basic of basics, the plain salt bread, is ₩3,500. It's an easy price, so it's great for grabbing several.

The handmade red bean ang-butter (red bean and butter) salt bread is ₩5,800. It's packed with red bean and looked hefty.

I trusted it even more when I read that they pick only domestic red beans and boil them in the shop themselves.

There's also a potato salt bread at ₩4,500 and a castella (sponge cake) salt bread at ₩5,500, so choosing is a lot of fun.

And then there's the garlic salt bread with the Best mark! We picked it without a second thought, haha. The menu and prices are handwritten on the glass of the display case, which made choosing easy.
How were Cozy Bear's lattes and garlic salt bread?

At Cozy Bear we ordered one hot latte, one iced latte and one garlic salt bread.

The hot latte had pretty latte art on top, and the iced latte looked smooth just from looking at it.

One sip and I immediately understood why they say they're serious about coffee. The latte is really good! The nutty coffee blended softly with the milk and went down clean with no bitterness. Finding the coffee hotspot Mom wanted and bringing her here felt worth it, haha.
The garlic salt bread was piled with garlic topping, and its nutty garlic aroma went well with the latte too. We were drawn in by the smell of bread, but the coffee was good too, so Mom and I were both satisfied with this café.
