Smoothie café in Yeonsu, Incheon: Ugly Tongue’s two filling blends

In short

Ugly Tongue is a smoothie café on the first floor of J Block in Yeonsu, Incheon. After lunch, I tried the ₩16,000 Stress Down and Brain Activation smoothies; both were thick and filling, while Brain Activation was sweeter with a nutty, chewy texture. I found one full smoothie too substantial to treat as a light after-meal drink.

On Sep 4, 2026, the two of us stopped by Ugly Tongue (어글리텅), a café in Songdo, after lunch. We each had a Stress Down and a Brain Activation smoothie, listed at ₩16,000 apiece on the menu.

The smoothies combined fruit with nuts, powders, and other ingredients. Their blue and pink colors stood out, and both were dense and thick when I tried them. Though they cost the same, they differed in sweetness, nuttiness, and chewiness.

Where is Ugly Tongue, and is parking available?

Ugly Tongue is on the first floor of J Block at 160-14 Haedoji-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It is listed as a 30-minute walk from Campustown Station. If you arrive by car, you can park in J Block’s underground parking and register at the café for one hour of free parking.

The original post lists its hours as 10:00–20:00 from Monday through Saturday, with regular closure on Sundays. Reservations are listed as available by asking the café.

Are there good seats for two?

There was an outdoor area in front of the entrance with camping chairs and a small table. Inside, the décor centered on gray and silver, with seating running opposite the long counter.

There were about four spots for two people. We sat together, drank our smoothies, and chatted. Three chairs lined a long table by the window, so a group of three could consider that spot.

How much are the smoothies and other menu items?

There were seven smoothie varieties during my visit, priced from ₩15,000 to ₩17,000. The Stress Down and Brain Activation smoothies we drank were ₩16,000 each, for a menu total of ₩32,000 for two.

  • Youthful Secret and Diet: ₩15,000 each
  • Brain Activation, Stress Down, Immune Support, and Blood Circulation: ₩16,000 each
  • Body Build: ₩17,000
  • Add-on ingredients: ₩900

Each menu item listed ingredients such as fruit, nuts, and powders underneath. It is worth looking over the ingredient combinations along with the menu names when choosing.

There were five teas themed around sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami flavors. Depending on the variety, they were ₩5,000 or ₩6,000.

An Americano was ₩5,000, while ube latte and matcha latte were ₩6,000 each. Blue spirulina ice cream was listed at ₩6,000, salad at ₩8,000, and sandwiches at ₩6,000. Prices and menu selection were current when I visited on Sep 4, 2026, and may change afterward.

What is the smoothie texture, and how are they prepared?

The preparation area was open behind the counter, so I could watch the drinks being made. There were containers of ingredients and powders, and I saw ingredients being weighed in a container on a digital scale.

The official website states that the smoothies are made without ice. When I drank them, they did feel closer to a dense blended texture than a slush.

A banner at the entrance said that the café uses microplastic-free containers. Its official website explains that its iced cups are made of PLA.

How do Stress Down and Brain Activation differ in flavor?

How sweet and thick is Stress Down?

Stress Down contains pineapple, maple syrup, avocado, Greek yogurt, oat milk, peanut butter, banana, and blue spirulina powder. It was not intensely sweet to me, and I especially remember its thick texture, noticeable even in one sip.

I held the blue smoothie against the blue sky, and the colors worked well together, so I took a photo too.

What flavor and texture does Brain Activation have?

Brain Activation contains banana, strawberry, avocado, almonds, walnuts, oat milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, and lion’s mane mushroom powder.

This one was thick as well, but it tasted sweeter and nuttier than Stress Down. Pieces of walnut came through as I drank it, adding texture.

How filling are they as an after-meal drink?

We visited after lunch, and after finishing one smoothie, I was so full that I could not eat dinner. For me, the portion and thick texture made it considerably filling for something I had thought of as a light after-meal drink.

Both smoothies contain maple syrup, so a less-sweet taste does not mean they are unsweetened. Stress Down contains Greek yogurt and peanut butter, while Brain Activation contains almonds and walnuts, so check before ordering if there are ingredients you avoid.

At ₩16,000 each, the two smoothies were generously portioned and thick, and I remember their different colors and ingredient combinations. If a friend came to Songdo, I would want to buy them one as a way to try an unusual smoothie together.
