Seongsu café for mugwort Greek yogurt: Lazy Yogurt

In short

Lazy Yogurt Seongsu is a Greek yogurt café in Seongdong, Seoul. I tried a mugwort Single with cacao nibs and granola, then took home a 450 g Plain Greek L for its thick yet creamy texture. Verdict: the mugwort and nutty toppings are the combo I’ll remember!

I don’t like yogurt ice cream that melts away like sweet, soft yogurt or sherbet, but thick, simple Greek yogurt? I really like it… no, I love it haha. I’m the type to go all-in on one thing, so I’m so hooked I could eat it for all three meals and never get tired of it :D

From basic Plain to soy, mugwort, yellow cheese, and blueberry, this place has so many flavored yogurts that calling it the Baskin-Robbins of yogurt would not be an exaggeration! Today, I’m introducing Lazy Yogurt, a Seongsu Greek yogurt spot where you can meet all sorts of flavors.

Lazy Yogurt says it aims for a “balance of health and taste,” selling Greek yogurt made only with Grade 1 milk and aged at a low temperature for 72 hours without unnecessary additives. Whey, fermentation temperature, and time can make the taste and texture wildly different, and this one is appealing for its thick yet soft texture that maximizes milk’s nutty richness!

You know how, when traveling abroad, you look at a menu, run it through a translator, and it’s all such a hassle—and sometimes it translates weirdly? Haha. Little thoughtful touches like menus in Japanese, English, and Chinese make a big impression :) There are also lots of yogurt flavors, including soy, matcha chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry, so it’s good for choosing to your taste.

Ordering a mugwort Single and Plain Greek L

There’s even a guestbook, and everyone had drawn such adorably cute things in it haha. Open it yourself if you’re curious—bleh! The open kitchen lets you clearly see the preparation process, so it’s more fun to watch and inspires more confidence in the hygiene too!

The self-service bar has water, cups, napkins, and wet wipes, plus hangers for your belongings or coat. They scoop the yogurt right in front of you in the open kitchen, which felt reassuringly hygienic..! The large Greek M and L are 300 g and 450 g respectively, and the good thing is they aren’t pre-packed—they scoop them to order!!

Pressing it down and filling it up generously~ They check it on the scale beside them as they fill it, so no worries about getting less than the stated amount. Full… full… please fill it until it overflows… (???) Packaging complete :D

Yogurt sample for a receipt review

If you write a receipt review, they give you a yogurt sample—but rather than choosing it yourself, they give you whichever yogurt they have the most left of that day, apparently?

Pistachio Greek yogurt sample

I got Pistachio Greek :) For a sample, it was not really a sample-sized amount—they gave me a generous scoop..! With pistachio pieces dotted throughout..! Can you see how thick it is..? Thiiick. I can’t be the only one who gets to feel this.. (not a pervert haha) Can you feel it… this thickness…?

Thick pistachio Greek yogurt

The nutty pistachio and subtle, not-overdone sweetness come together in a flavor that’s easy to eat without feeling heavy. It was easygoing like a lighter version of Baskin-Robbins pistachio. The characteristic gentle nuttiness of pistachio spreads through it, with the texture of crushed pistachios too—a combination that simply can’t be bad :D

House-made granola gift for following alerts

Granola · provided for following Naver alerts

Other yogurt shops use inexpensive store-bought granola, but Lazy Yogurt’s granola is house-made and baked in-store!!

House-made granola baked in-store
Crunchy granola with nuts

Packed with assorted nuts such as almonds, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds, it has the classic nutty, simple granola flavor. The crisp crunch, gentle sweetness, and nutty flavor build as you chew, making it taste wonderfully premium!

Mugwort Greek with granola and cacao nibs

Single ₩6,400 Includes mugwort change +₩1,500 / cacao nibs +₩1,000

Mugwort Greek is a simple, thick Greek yogurt with a gentle mugwort aroma; it isn’t overly sweet, so it’s easy to enjoy. Rather than a deep mugwort color, it has a soft pale green shade, and that softly spreading mugwort scent is so appealing!

It feels thick, yet melts softly in the mouth. Rather than an extremely throat-clogging thickness, it has a cream-cheese texture that softens smoothly. The fragrant mugwort, its characteristic gentle bitterness, and sweetness come together without any chalkiness, so Greek-yogurt beginners can enjoy it comfortably too. If it’s your first time, I recommend Lazy Yogurt for that coexistence of thick + creamy :D

Mugwort Greek yogurt topping combination

Fans of old-fashioned flavors!! Remember this combination: mugwort Greek + granola + cacao nibs haha. Add nuts too and it’s hea-ven. Fragrant mugwort Greek, nutty crunchy granola, and the bittersweet flavor of cacao nibs come together in a seriously cra-zy good combo.. :>

How the 450 g Plain Greek L tastes

Plain Greek L is 450 g. The lid lists the production date and nutrition facts, and it’s double-packed with a sealing film :) So much yogurt packed in.. Lazy Yogurt is charming for its thiiick texture that still melts softly in your mouth!

Packaged 450 g Plain Greek yogurt

The first bite is thick but softly loosens in the mouth, about creamy 3 : thick 7 :D It has the classic basic Greek yogurt taste, with gentle acidity spreading alongside nutty, clean milk flavor!

Plain Greek yogurt with figs

Figs are in season these days, right~? Put seasonal figs right on top of overnight oats or a Greek bowl and it’s ridiculously delicious. If you’re looking for a Seongsu café or brunch spot, many varieties of Greek yogurt, or a café to rest comfortably in central Seoul, I recommend Lazy Yogurt.
