Lunch-date conveyor sushi at Nowon Station: Buldak salmon, Sushi Ianen

Sushi is a safe bet any time, but my favorite way to eat it is conveyor sushi :) It's fun to pick what you want right in front of you, so I keep going back. This time I visited Sushi Ianen Nowon Station (스시이안앤 노원역점), a well-known conveyor sushi spot in Nowon.

Sushi Ianen Nowon Station: location and opening hours

Sushi Ianen Nowon Station is at 12-4 Nohae-ro 81-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul, 3rd floor, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Nowon Station. On weekdays it is open 11:30–22:00 with a break from 15:00 to 17:00; on weekends and holidays it is open 11:30–22:00 with no break.

The restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the building, and there's an elevator, so getting up was easy. There's a break time from 3 to 5 PM on weekdays, so check before you go~

Parking tips for Sushi Ianen Nowon Station

The restaurant gives a basic 30-minute parking coupon, but let's be honest, that can feel a bit short once you start eating. We parked at nearby Lotte Department Store Nowon branch. If you sign up on the Lotte Department Store app, you get a free 2-hour parking coupon every month, which comes in handy whenever I'm around Nowon. If you're coming by car, take note!

How much is Sushi Ianen?

Every plate at Sushi Ianen is a flat ₩1,990. That price is one of the reasons it's so popular~ You can grab all sorts of things without worrying about the bill, haha.

So whenever I want sushi I tend to head to Sushi Ianen, and of the branches I've tried, I think the Nowon Station one is the tastiest. (Even though it's a franchise, every branch seems to taste different?!)

Events at Sushi Ianen Nowon Station

When I visited, Sushi Ianen Nowon Station was running several events. Depending on the time you visit, you may get free udon or cold soba (naengmomil), and there are big-eater and soldier events too, so it's worth checking whether you qualify!

Wasabi, soy sauce, ginger and pickled radish are set out at every seat so you can take as much as you like, and the staff brought the miso soup over :)

Seeing the conveyor belt packed with sushi put me in a great mood! There was so much variety that just looking around the whole loop took a while ><

Besides sushi there are plenty of desserts too, like crepe cake, pudding and vanilla choux. And if the sushi you want isn't on the belt, just tell the chef and they'll make it right away!

Lunch date sushi: from salmon to Buldak-sauce torched salmon

Every plate is ₩1,990, whatever the color!! I scanned the whole belt once, then quickly grabbed four plates first and dug in ><. I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I shared the two-piece plates with my boyfriend, haha.

I started with salmon sushi! I'd been craving salmon lately and was totally satisfied from the first bite. But everything was good, honestly T_T The egg sushi was amazing too, the torched salmon had something like Buldak (spicy fire chicken) sauce on top and was sooo good, and the beef yukhoe (Korean raw beef tartare) was lightly torched and insanely delicious.

I got so excited that I think I ate the whole time while glaring at the belt to decide what to grab next, lol.

Is everything I pick just good, or is it simply all good? Every single one was a great choice. I also had loads of the shrimp sushi I'd been wanting, in all the different kinds~

Yukhoe sushi refill, please~ In the end I had the yukhoe sushi at Sushi Ianen Nowon Station a few more times, and I finished the meal with it too. It's just so good~~~~

Cold soba for ₩7,900, ordered by copying the next table

The cold soba at Sushi Ianen Nowon Station is ₩7,900. I hadn't planned to eat it, but the next table ordered cold soba, and when I sneaked a peek at it, it looked so good. So I ordered it right away, haha.

Ahh, the icy slush chilled me right down to my spine, haha. I was already full, but the sushi I'd eaten just seemed to go down and I felt like I could start all over again.

The shrimp tempura that came with the cold soba, I set aside and ate crispy. The shrimp was totally plump! It was my first time ordering a single menu item at Sushi Ianen, and I'm glad I did, haha.

Sushi Ianen Nowon Station also does takeout and delivery, so keep that in mind!

Is Sushi Ianen Nowon Station worth going back to?

When you eat many kinds of food, one or two are usually a little disappointing, but this visit to Sushi Ianen Nowon Station was a total success, which made it even better. If you're looking for conveyor sushi in Nowon, I highly recommend Sushi Ianen Nowon Station for great value and a wide variety. It was a day of eating really well. 🍣
