Yeouido Station burger spot for lunch or after-work beer: Bass Burger

Yeouido is full of office workers, so at lunchtime it's packed with people hunting for a good place to eat.

I was looking for somewhere that works for a hearty lunch and also for a cold beer after work, and that led me to Bass Burger Yeouido, near The Hyundai Seoul.

It's already well known as a handmade burger spot, so my expectations were high. I was happy with it: the mood is great for a meal, and also for just hanging out over a beer.

Where is Bass Burger Yeouido?

Bass Burger Yeouido is an easy walk from Yeouido Station and The Hyundai Seoul, so it's very accessible.

It's convenient for office workers at lunchtime, and close enough to drop by for a meal after shopping. I think it would also be a good meeting spot after work with friends or colleagues.

Atmosphere at Bass Burger Yeouido

The place feels casual yet pub-like, so it suits both lunch and an evening beer. Step inside and you notice the soft lighting and stylish interior. It's comfortable for lunch, and just as fitting for a beer in the evening.

The tables are spaced nicely, so it was easy to talk, and the vibe works for a solo meal, a get-together with friends or a date.

What we ordered at Bass Burger Yeouido

This time I ordered the Bass Burger set and the chili mozzarella cheese bars.

The Bass Burger set is a handmade burger with a beef patty, real cheddar cheese, fresh butterhead lettuce, tomato, onion and house sauce, served with fries and a drink. It was plenty for a filling meal.

The chili mozzarella cheese bars I got as a side were crispy outside and packed with stretchy, chewy mozzarella inside, with a spicy chili kick that went well with the burger.

Dine-in guests also get free potato chips. They were nice to nibble on while waiting, and the saltiness made me crave a beer.

How did the burger taste?

From the first bite the patty was juicy, and the nutty flavor of the real cheddar added a clean but deep taste.

The fresh vegetables added a crunchy texture and the house sauce tied everything together, so I never got tired of it until the last bite. The fries were fried crisp and went well with the burger, and the chili mozzarella cheese bars had a crispy shell with chewy cheese that stretched long, so the texture was really good.

The spicy chili flavor blended with the rich cheese and cut the greasiness, which made it a very satisfying snack with beer.

Handmade burger and beer pairing

The beer I ordered had clean fizz and went down cold and smooth. It brought out the savory taste of the burger and the spice of the chili mozzarella cheese bars, and with every bite and sip I thought, this combo is really good.

Bass Burger Yeouido is a Yeouido favorite for a hearty handmade burger at lunch, or a burger with a cold beer after work.

I was very satisfied with the handmade burger made with fresh ingredients, the crispy sides and the free chips, and the relaxed yet stylish atmosphere made it good for both meals and get-togethers.
