Frolla is an Italian-style tiramisu and espresso café in Seongsu, Seoul. On a rainy weekday lunch the writer and her younger sister ordered the peach tiramisu (12,000 won), the espresso tiramisu (6,500 won) and an iced americano, and Frolla's kitschy interior and unusually moist tiramisu stood out most. For a Seongsu café that feels like a short trip to Italy, Frolla is worth the visit.
Seongsu Darak is a Western-style brunch restaurant on the 2nd floor near Ttukseom-ro 9-gil in Seongdong, Seoul. Arriving around noon on a weekday, the wait was about 10-15 minutes behind 3 parties before digging into the signature Darak omelet rice and pork neck steak, both satisfying with a spicy demi-glace sauce and tender meat. There's no reservation app — only in-person line-waiting — and no parking support, so it's worth checking nearby paid lots first.
