Group-dinner pub in Dangsan with square-cut pizza: Long Time No See
In short
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is a craft beer and pizza pub near Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, where you tag a wristband and pour your own beer from 29 draft taps. The writer fell for the pizza, cut into squares that make easy bar snacks, and a cream pasta ordered on impulse, and found that one wristband tracking what each person drinks makes group dinners and splitting the bill simple. Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is the kind of place where you come for the beer and leave won over by the food.

I was looking for a good place for a casual beer in Dangsan, and that's how I ended up at Long Time No See Dangsan Branch (롱타임노씨 당산점).

All I'd heard was that they have lots of beers, but it was way more fun than I expected. Pouring your own draft beer was a fresh idea, and the food was better than I'd hoped.

Please try the pizza in particular. "You go for the beer and come out raving about the food" fits this place perfectly.
Long Time No See Dangsan: hours, location and parking
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is open Mon-Fri 16:30-01:00 and Sat-Sun 15:30-01:00, and you can reserve through Naver. It's really close to Dangsan Station, just a short walk from the subway, so it's easy to meet up, and it works for a first round or a second round alike.
It was perfect for a casual drink after work. Parking is 1-2 free spots beside the building entrance, and the lot right in front of the building is paid, but the subway is much easier than driving here. We're going to drink anyway, after all~
How do you order from 29 draft beers with the wristband?
At Long Time No See Dangsan Branch you get a wristband, order food at the kiosk by the entrance, then tag the same wristband at the beer server to pour yourself any of 29 draft beers. This ordering method was honestly the most fun part.

First, you get your wristband, order your food at the kiosk by the entrance, and tag the wristband to complete the order.

Then you take that wristband to the beer server, tag it, and pour the beer you want. You can try 29 draft beers in one place, and since you only pay for what you pour, you can sample all sorts without worrying.
It's more fun than it sounds. "This one this time." "That one next." And before you know it you've tasted loads of different kinds.

If you love beer, I think this system alone is reason enough to visit.

Self-bar popcorn is included
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch gives you popcorn as a basic, and you can help yourself at the self-bar as much as you like. It's crunchy and nutty like movie theater popcorn, and I kept reaching for more. It went great with beer, too.
How were the pizza and cream pasta at Long Time No See?
The pizza at Long Time No See Dangsan Branch has good dough and plenty of cheese, and it comes cut into squares that are easy to eat as a drinking snack. The cream pasta I ordered on impulse had a rich cream sauce. Honestly, I didn't expect much from the food. I figured that at a place where beer is the main thing, the snacks would be just okay.

But the pizza was really good.

Good dough, plenty of cheese, the kind of pizza that goes so well with beer. And I loved how it was cut. It wasn't the usual pizza slicing but square pieces that are easy to eat as a snack, and I'm someone who gets touched by little things like this, haha, so it was totally my style.

I was going to order something fried, like french fries, but suddenly craved cream pasta and ordered that instead. Total stroke of genius.

The cream was rich and the noodles were nicely cooked, so it was great with the pizza. Pizza and beer is good, but next time I'm planning to go back for pizza and soju. Pizza with soju. If you're a soju person, that's a combo you love, right? Haha
Why Long Time No See Dangsan suits group dinners and second rounds
At Long Time No See Dangsan Branch, one wristband covers ordering, beer and the final bill, and everyone pays for what they drank, so it's good for group dinners and splitting the bill. The food is tasty, but the place is also just fun. The pour-your-own-beer system is part of that.
Even with a big group, everyone pays for what they drank, so I thought it'd be great for splitting the bill. That's why I thought it'd be fine as a group dinner spot too. And one more thing.

What is the "Noh surname 30% discount" event?
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch has a sign for a "Noh surname 30% discount": if anyone in your group has the surname Noh (노), you get a discount. It apparently applies only on the 29th.
At first I thought it was an event to find the table with a Noh in it. Like a treasure hunt or something, haha. Turns out it's a discount if anyone in your group has the surname Noh. The moment we found out, everyone started scrolling through their friends lists.
Don't we know a Noh? If not, let's bring one next time. Oh, it's only the 29th? Gather up a Noh on the 29th, haha
We laughed about this for a good while. With little events like this, the mood at the table gets even more fun. If you're looking for a good place near Dangsan Station, somewhere for a beer around Dangsan Station, or a spot for a group dinner or second round, you'll be happy here.

They're definitely serious about pizza.

Apparently a beer master and a pizza master got together.

Is there a wait in the evening? Should you reserve?
I hear Long Time No See Dangsan Branch can have a wait in the evening, so it's worth checking Naver Reservation. I went a bit early, so it was quiet. I'm planning to go back soon for pizza and a glass of soju.
