Why we keep coming back to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch

Kuu Kuu has branches all over the country, but we always end up at the Nowon one. It's close to home, and above all the food is kept really clean and tidy.
I've been to the original branch too, but personally I felt the Nowon branch has a slightly wider variety of food and a more spacious restaurant. It even has a certificate plaque for being an outstanding franchise store, so I trusted the upkeep! It has naturally become our family's go-to Nowon family-gathering restaurant.
Friday after work at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch: the atmosphere, and for group dinners

We visited on a Friday after work and it was already packed with guests. Guests kept coming in right up to closing time, so it's clearly a popular Nowon restaurant.
With so many guests the food turns over fast, so everything was fresh, and the staff quickly refilled any empty trays, which I was very happy with.

What's at the sushi station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch?
The sushi station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a huge variety, from fish sushi to rolls, gunkan (seaweed-wrapped sushi) and meat sushi. After being shown to our seats, the sushi station was of course the first place we headed.

Someone like me who prefers egg sushi or rolls over fish could be perfectly satisfied, and my husband said the flounder sushi was the tastiest.

There was also kkomak bibimbap (cockle rice bowl) and flying fish roe rolls, so the meal-type dishes were varied too.
Is there cooked food besides sushi? The hot food station

The hot food station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had pork ribs, barbecue, salmon steak and grilled vegetables, plus pizza, pasta and croûte soup. If you think it's only sushi, you're mistaken!
Every station had several dishes, so picking and choosing was fun. As you'd expect from a Nowon sushi buffet, there was a real abundance of food beyond sushi.
From Chinese to Korean, nothing's missing

The Chinese station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was full of popular dishes like kkwabaorou (crispy sweet-and-sour pork), kkanpunggi (spicy fried chicken) and lemon shrimp. The freshly fried kkwabaorou was so crispy it was the most memorable thing for me!
The Korean station had gamjatang (pork bone stew) fried rice, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken), so even the older folks could enjoy it without any fuss. "There's nothing they don't have" is exactly the right way to put it.
Made-to-order noodles and fresh salad

The made-to-order noodle station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was popular too. You could choose jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodles), udon or soba as you like, and pile on toppings freely to suit your taste.
The salad station had yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), naengchae (chilled salad) and vegetables, and even I, who don't usually eat salad, enjoyed it because the vegetables were so fresh.
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch dessert: dip a waffle in the choco fondue

The dessert station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a real variety, from fruit and cake to gelato and bead ice cream, and the warm waffles that a staff member keeps baking were popular too. Dessert was our last stop after the meal.

There's choco fondue too, so it's also where the most kids gather. Personally, I most recommend a freshly baked waffle dipped in the choco fondue.

There's slush, soda and assorted teas, and even draft beer, so drinks go nicely with the meal.

What did we enjoy most?
My husband was happiest with the flounder sushi at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, while I liked the rolls and kkomak bibimbap best. We loaded up on everything we wanted at once, and although we were completely stuffed, we finished with dessert too. Done and dusted~!
Who would I recommend Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch to?
If you want a place where people of all ages can come together and everyone is satisfied, I don't think anywhere beats Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch. Sushi lovers and people who prefer cooked food are both happy, and the fast food turnover means everything is always fresh!
It's well liked for family meals as well as group gatherings and company dinners, so if you're looking for a Nowon family-gathering restaurant, a Nowon spot for a company dinner or a Nowon sushi buffet, I recommend Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch 🤍
