Jongno 3-ga bakery revisit: review-event salt bread, Munhwa Bakery

Munhwa Bakery (문화제빵) is a small takeout-only bakery on Donhwamun-ro, near Jongno 3-ga Station in Jongno, Seoul. Returning after a visit earlier this year, the writer bought coffee bread (₩5,800), injeolmi bread (₩3,800) and maple cream cheese bread (₩4,900). A review event also earned a salt bread that isn't in the display case. Verdict: Munhwa Bakery's moist, never-dry bread shows why people call it their all-time favourite bakery.

Songpanaru Station café: lemon pound cake and cookies at Sese Coffee

Sese Coffee (세세커피) is an independent café and dessert shop on Baekjegobun-ro 46-gil in Jamsil, near Songpanaru Station in Songpa, Seoul. At Sese Coffee we had an iced Americano with Dosi Saenghwal beans (4,500 won), an oat matcha latte (6,500 won), a lemon pound cake (5,000 won) and a cookie (4,500 won). The dense lemon pound cake and slightly crumbly cookie were the highlights, and Sese Coffee's location near Charlotte Theater makes it a great dessert café before or after a show.
