Jongno 3-ga bakery revisit: review-event salt bread, Munhwa Bakery
In short
Munhwa Bakery (문화제빵) is a small takeout-only bakery on Donhwamun-ro, near Jongno 3-ga Station in Jongno, Seoul. Returning after a visit earlier this year, the writer bought coffee bread (₩5,800), injeolmi bread (₩3,800) and maple cream cheese bread (₩4,900). A review event also earned a salt bread that isn't in the display case. Verdict: Munhwa Bakery's moist, never-dry bread shows why people call it their all-time favourite bakery.

Why I went back to Munhwa Bakery (문화제빵)
Munhwa Bakery is a bakery on Donhwamun-ro near Jongno 3-ga Station. I introduced it once earlier this year, and I couldn't forget the bread, so I went back. Hahaha. Turns out it's one of Seoul's top 3 bakeries, and a lot of people call it their life-changing bakery! I had no ideaaaa!
No wonder the bread was so chewy and delicious!!! Seriously!! So here's my return trip to this Jongno 3-ga bakery. Shall we see what breads they had this time?! A life-changing bakery for so many people, wow,,,!

After a while away, the single character "빵" (bread) on the sign still jumps right out at you! Hahaha. So honest. Hahahaha.

Oh my! Munhwa Bakery turns out to be a bakery that helps children!! And it's already a great place!! To think they do this kind of good deed too!! Places like this need to be better known!!!

Munhwa Bakery's atmosphere and how fast the packing is
Two staff members were working that day, and one seemed to be just learning the job! Watching the experienced one kindly teach them made me feel good too... haha. Munhwa Bakery warms your heart as well as your stomach~~!!

The display shelves may look a little empty because the person ahead of me bought a whole 4 garlic breads, haha. But besides what you can see, there are pre-packed breads too, so they bag everything up in no time! Swoosh swoosh swoosh~!!! Super fast!! Done in a flash!!

A feast of sparkling breads!!! Ahh, I looked at them going, what do I pick?? and agonized so so so much,,,! Doesn't everything look delicious???
And once I ate them, the breads were moist,,,! Seriously!! Other breads are often dry, so I tend not to buy them, but the bread at Munhwa Bakery in Jongno 3-ga is so moist that nothing gets stuck in your throat and you just keep eating. It has a kind of irresistible charm!!

Right here! There are lots of packed breads by the Munhwa Bakery counter, so orders turn around fast! How can they pull out so many things swoosh swoosh swoosh without mixing them up?? So amazing!!! Have they memorized all that bread?!??!!

How many people can go into Munhwa Bakery at a time?
Munhwa Bakery is so tiny that there's a notice asking people to go in 2 at a time. So you can't browse for long. The weather was lovely that day, and smelling the delicious bread while taking in the view was great, though I only enjoyed it for like 1 second..? via a click of the camera, haha.

Munhwa Bakery's review event salt bread and tasting bread
Munhwa Bakery has tasting bread so you can try how the other breads taste, and with the review event they give you a salt bread if you write a review! And they pack your bread up this quickly and prettily...!
Of course, I got mine^^ I can't miss the salt bread, right??!!! And it's not even on the display shelves!! A chance like this at a place this good..! No way I'd miss it!!
Munhwa Bakery coffee bread, injeolmi bread and maple cream cheese bread: prices and taste
Here's what I ordered at Munhwa Bakery this time.
- Coffee bread ₩5,800
- Injeolmi bread ₩3,800
- Maple cream cheese bread ₩4,900
- Review event salt bread

This is how I ordered! And wow, the coffee bread at Munhwa Bakery!! I didn't expect much but it's so good???!!
The salt bread from the review event is also packed full inside, unlike other places, yet soft and moist, so good you could eat it without milk!! The maple cream cheese bread was so so so delicious too!
Overall, they're soft breads with no dryness!! What baking skill do they have to get this moisture...?! There's a reason people call it their life-changing bakery! I agree, one of Seoul's top 3 bakeries! Why not try this moistness yourself at Munhwa Bakery in Jongno 3-ga?!
