Sour cream guacamole couple set at Taqueros, a Magok Mexican spot

In short

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican family restaurant on the second floor of Magok GMG Tower, a short walk from Exit 3 of Magok Station in Gangseo, Seoul. The writer and her boyfriend ordered the signature couple set (fajita, one chicken taco, one fish taco) plus an apple mango ade, and used the free tortilla and sauce refills to keep building sour cream and guacamole bites. Rice hidden under the sizzling fajita plate gave it a chicken-and-rice bowl kind of fun, and for a Mexican food lover, Taqueros was the best she has tried so far.

I wanted Mexican food in Magok so my boyfriend and I went to Taqueros Magok Main Branch 🌮 I already like Mexican food in general, but after eating here I genuinely thought, "this is the best I've had so far." The tacos were great, but the fajita was way better than expected — we kept gasping about it the whole meal!

Where is Taqueros Magok Main Branch, and can you drive and park?

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is within walking distance of Exit 3 of Magok Station. The building itself has parking, so driving there was easy, and with 2 hours of free building parking there was zero parking stress. I drove, and honestly this was such a plus — parking hassle during a date is annoying, so having building parking made things smooth.

What the Taqueros dining room feels like, and why it suits a date

I really liked the atmosphere here. It's not just Mexican on the menu — the space itself feels genuinely exotic and local, like you're actually there. With reddish interiors and that distinct Mexican restaurant mood, the moment I walked in I thought, "oh, this is the real deal" haha.

It's casual enough for a date without being too heavy, and it also looked like a good spot for a group of friends. And above all, the staff were genuinely kind.

Food matters at a restaurant, but good service really elevates the whole impression — the staff here were kind from start to finish, so we left in a great mood.

The Taqueros menu and how the couple set works

True to a Mexican family restaurant, the menu has ribs, fajita, chimichanga, tacos, quesadilla, fish and chips, nachos, buffalo wings, and more.

The drinks and alcohol also pair well with Mexican food! And ordering alcohol gets you free nachos!

Since it was just my boyfriend and me that day, we ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set (for 2) — fajita + 1 chicken taco + 1 fish taco — plus an apple mango ade. The couple set lets you choose fajita or ribs, plus 2 taco pieces, which was great for trying different things between the two of us. I picked one chicken taco and one fish taco, and I liked being able to mix types like that.

Jalapeño ketchup, hot sauce, plates, sanitary pocket gloves, and wet wipes were all set out ready to go. Haha.

Nachos and melting cheese sauce at Taqueros, refills included

First the nachos came out.

This melting cheese sauce was insane... so thick and gooey, salty and creamy... totally my style.

The nachos were super crispy and warm too.

My favorite,, and they're refillable, too — that's wild.

For drinks I ordered the apple mango ade. Mexican food overall leans rich with meat, cheese and sauces, so sipping something sweet and refreshing in between worked really well. The color was pretty too, so it looked great next to the food photos haha. So slushy and refreshing!

How the chicken taco and fish taco tasted

And finally, the fajita and tacos arrived!

Full spread of the signature couple set

For the tacos in the couple set, we picked one chicken taco and one fish taco. The chicken taco had a nice crispy texture, a different feel from the fajita, and the fish taco was my boyfriend's first time trying one — he said it was genuinely delicious haha.

Fish taco with crispy fish inside

He'd never had fish taco before, so I wasn't sure how he'd feel about it, but after one bite he went "oh, this is good?" and kept eating haha. I also liked the combo of crispy fish and sauce that's so distinctive to fish tacos.

A chicken taco piled with vegetables

The chicken taco was super crispy, the veggies were nice and crunchy, and the sauce was great too — honestly this one alone is filling. It's a different kind of flavor from the fajita's wrap-your-own style, so if two of you go, picking different taco types to try is worth it.

What comes on the Taqueros fajita plate and which sauces you get

The fajita! It comes loaded with various meats, shrimp, and vegetables, and you pick what you want to wrap in a tortilla with sauce. I loved the variety of meats — you're not stuck eating just one kind, so it doesn't get boring, and each meat tastes a bit different, which made picking and choosing fun.

Warm tortillas served fresh

The sauces that came with it were all delicious too — jalapeño, chili, sour cream, tomato salsa, guacamole. And since we love jalapeño ketchup, we kept dipping into that as well haha.

Plus warm, steaming tortillas! Best of all, both the sauces and tortillas are refillable!

The fajita came with chicken, shrimp, beef, and pork.

The rice hidden under the fajita plate, like a chicken-and-rice bowl

Here's another thing I loved... there's rice underneath on the chicken side. It sounds minor, but I loved it so much ㅠㅠ Eating meat and veggies then digging into rice too made it satisfying, and it gave off that feeling of eating jjimdak (braised chicken) and then finishing with fried rice haha. If you're someone who loves eating seasoned meat with rice, you'll probably really like this part. You can wrap meat and rice together in a tortilla like a burrito, or just eat the fajita and have the rice separately at the end — very versatile.

My favorite sauce combo, plus tortilla and sauce refills

If you just eat tortilla + meat, the flavor can get repetitive, but switching up the sauces keeps things feeling different each time. My favorite combo is sour cream + guacamole ㅠ

Roll it up and pop it in bite-sized,,! Every sauce except guacamole is refillable, along with the tortillas — and honestly, tortillas and sauce run out pretty fast once you're actually eating. So having refills was genuinely great. No need to ration and think "ugh, I wish I had a little more of this..." haha.

Later on we even wrapped tortilla + nachos together. Genius combo.

I already like Mexican food in general and have tried plenty of tacos and fajitas, but this place was genuinely my favorite Mexican restaurant I've been to so far.
