Can a lash perm show on thin, short lashes?

I finally got a lash perm again at Mio Brow Bar near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station in Magok. My lashes are normally short and not very full, and I think they got even thinner after I had my baby, sob. Sometimes a lash perm barely showed on me. This time, though, the curl came out so pretty that I was really happy with it :)

Mio Brow Bar location and how to book

Mio Brow Bar is right near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, so it's easy to reach! It's on the ground floor of the Daebang DMC officetel shops, and every time I come, the spot is a little hard to find, haha. I got a bit lost again this time and called, and they gave me clear directions so I found it right away :)

I liked that Mio Brow Bar takes same-day bookings too :] I booked on Naver and then contacted them by phone, and they replied fast and were kind, haha.

What's the inside of Mio Brow Bar like?

Mio Brow Bar turned out to be a small one-on-one salon. It's compact but not uncomfortable, and I felt at ease quickly!

The white interior and the little accessories caught my eye, haha.

I guess this is the owner's taste? Haha. Looking at all the small accessories, I relaxed in no time.

The beautician's license and certificates are on display, which gives you confidence!

A private one-bed treatment space

The treatment space at Mio Brow Bar has a single bed and a pleasant, clean feel.

Being a one-person salon, it wasn't crowded, which I liked.

With the stylist's gentle hands and the relaxing atmosphere, I think I passed out, haha. I rushed over straight from work, so I must have been tired.

Doesn't it look so fresh that you'd doze off just looking at it, haha?

Round curl or tightly lifted curl: which did I choose?

The stylist at Mio Brow Bar asked me to choose between a round curl and a tightly lifted curl, and since I like a natural look, I asked for the round curl!

The owner's tools were packed in the space next to the bed, haha.

Monolid lash perm before and after

This is the before photo. My lashes are sparse, short, and point downward, a typical Korean monolid eye (?), sob, haha. I'm embarrassed, but I'm posting it for comparison.. haha. (I ran in the heat before the treatment so my face is red, and now I can even see veins... haha. I rushed from work so I look scruffy, sob.)

This is right after the treatment! The lashes point upward and the curl took well! I'm so happy with the curl *_* They also seem to have put plenty of lash serum on, so the curl looks moist and springy, haha.

After the treatment, they gave me a brush as a gift! I should comb my lashes often and remember to apply lash serum :]

I was drenched in sweat on the day, so I took the photo again the next day :)

Maybe only I can notice the change, but since I rarely use a curler or wear much makeup, even this much of a change refreshed my mood!

Lash perm aftercare and touch-up interval

Mio Brow Bar texted me the aftercare instructions once the treatment was done. They had explained it already, but I still paused when I went to wash my face, haha. It was an afternoon appointment, so they told me to wash as late as possible!

Lash perm aftercare

• No contact with water for 3-4 hours after the treatment
• No oil-based products on the same day (cleansers, etc.)
• No rubbing or pressing the eyes
• No eyelash curler
• Lash serum recommended
• Touch-up interval: every 6-8 weeks recommended

I was grateful to the stylist, who was kind to the very end, haha. Next time I'll take care of my lashes with serum and come back for a perm with slightly fuller lashes (?)!!

A lash perm after 2.5 years: the verdict

I hadn't had one since before I got pregnant, so it was a lash perm after about 2.5 years, and it felt good, a nice mood boost :) It felt like I was finally doing a bit of beauty care (?), haha. Leaving the little one's daycare pickup to my husband and having time to myself was precious too, haha. The bottom line: it was a satisfying lash perm at Mio Brow Bar! Thank you again to the stylist who made the session so comfortable >_<
