Vegetarian tofu & mushroom curry at Yangjae Station: Yeongyeong Salad

Yeongyeong Salad Dogok (영영샐러드 도곡점) is a salad poke and Japanese-style curry shop near Exit 4 of Yangjae Station in Gangnam, Seoul. The writer went for salad on a rainy day, but being very hungry, she and her friend both chose vegetarian-style curries, the grilled tofu curry and the grilled mushroom curry, and were happy with the big tofu pieces, generous mushrooms and clean, slightly spicy curry. When you want a meal that is filling without being heavy, the vegetarian curry at Yeongyeong Salad Dogok is a good fit.

Gongdeok lash salon: round C-curl lift for droopy corners, Iyo Shop

Iyo Shop is a one-on-one, reservation-only lash lift and extension salon on the 2nd floor of Park Palace 2, near Exit 3 of Gongdeok Station (Line 5) in Mapo, Seoul. Instead of the upper-only J-curl lift the writer used to get, Iyo Shop gave the writer a round C-curl dual lift on the upper and lower lashes. The lift carefully raised the drooping inner and outer eye corners for a brighter, more open look. For limp, drooping lashes that need a custom design, Iyo Shop at Gongdeok Station is worth recommending.

Ttukseom Korean BBQ on a holiday eve: sweet salchisal, Marblejeong

Marblejeong is a Korean beef (hanwoo) and pork BBQ restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Seongsuil-ro in Seongdong, Seoul, near Exit 5 of Ttukseom Station on Line 2. After work on the eve of a holiday, the writer and a friend ordered the 400g hanwoo platter of sirloin, brisket and the cut of the day, salchisal (chuck flap tail). The staff-grilled sirloin was full of juice, and the friend called the salchisal "sweet". Marblejeong suits team dinners and get-togethers in Seongsu and Ttukseom when you want well-kept hanwoo without any fuss.

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a soufflé pancake café and roastery on a side street near Exit 5 of Seoulsup Station in Seongsu, Seoul. With time to spare before dinner plans in Ttukseom, the writer ordered a fig soufflé, a cream cheese strawberry latte and a Dutch americano; the two-layer soufflé piled with ripe figs paired well with the strawberry latte's lightly salty cream cheese foam. 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is worth recommending if you want a seasonal fruit soufflé at a relaxed pace on the terrace or by a window.
