How to use a cleansing balm on dry combination skin: HEEDA Charcoal
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a balm-type makeup remover, tested for one week on combination skin that is dry overall but oily around the nose and chin. The balm melted on contact with skin temperature and left little tightness after rinsing, and heavy makeup came off before the second cleanse. Satisfying on this skin type, though the results described are one person's experience.

How did the HEEDA charcoal balm feel on sensitive combination skin?

I have combination skin that feels dry in fall and winter but has oil around the nose and chin. After a week of use, scooping out the firm balm with the spatula and rolling it onto my skin, it melted smoothly with my body heat. I felt almost no irritation while using it, and my skin felt less tight after washing.

I usually avoid strong cleansing products and stick to gentle ones, so it was nice that this suited my skin. That said, irritation and skin condition can vary depending on your own skin's state.

How to use the cleansing balm to remove heavy makeup

On days with heavier makeup, I used the cleansing balm together with a foam cleanser. I tested it on my wrist with a long-wear tint, gently rubbing the balm on, and the tint came off as the balm melted.

On days when oil and sebum built up around my nose after being outside, I used it and then rinsed with lukewarm water. In my case, after makeup was removed, my skin felt smooth and moisturized, and the area around my nose felt cleaner than before.

Spatula, jar and texture: what was easy to use?

It comes in a black case with a charcoal-colored balm formula. The spatula can be slotted into the lid, so I didn't have to scoop it out with my fingers, and it was easy to store.

The packaging box listed the ingredients and directions for use. On the product's website, I also checked information about the packaging materials and soy ink used.

Who is the HEEDA Jirisan cleansing balm best for?

This could be useful for anyone like me who deals with both dryness and oil concerns and is looking for a balm-type cleanser that leaves little tightness after washing. I kept reaching for it because my skin texture felt smoother, but results related to pores, blackheads, or skin texture can vary by person.
