Gireum PC café that rewards LoL rank wins with free time: ZERO100

Today, after grabbing a meal and drinks near Sungshin Women's University, I headed to a PC café near Gireum Station with a friend. My friend, a self-proclaimed "PC-melier" (a sommelier of PC cafés, haha), recommended ZERO100 PC Gireum.

Since it had been a while since I'd been to a PC café, I wanted somewhere with good facilities and a variety of food — not just a place to game — and this spot even gives you extra time back when you play, which made it even more fun.

It seemed like a great option especially for anyone looking for a couple's PC café in Gireum, a place to enjoy games with friends, or just somewhere fun to hang out near Gireum Station.

After eating near Sungshin Women's University, we made our way to ZERO100 PC Gireum.

According to my self-proclaimed PC-melier friend, there was a lot to be satisfied with. First off, private slippers right at the entrance.

This is a detail you probably won't appreciate unless you've been to quite a few PC cafés. It's especially nice on a rainy day like today, when things can feel pretty damp and gross — having comfortable slippers doubles the comfort level.

I don't smoke myself, but there was a proper smoking room set up inside too. (My friend, who does smoke, insisted I mention this.) And there was also a private 5-person room.

Back in my early twenties when I gamed a lot, I used to seek out PC cafés with good private rooms like this — but I'd never seen a room-style PC café like this in Seoul, where real estate is so expensive. Today, though, since there were just two of us, we took a 2-person private seat.

How two League of Legends ranked wins earned 30 free minutes

We decided to play League of Legends. My favorite thing about ZERO100 PC Gireum is that you get playtime back for kills or wins in-game.

Even if it's just 30 minutes or an hour, guys live for competition, haha. After a hard-fought battle, we ended up with 2 rank wins and earned 30 minutes of free time.

Beyond missions like this, you can also get plenty of free time just by leaving a Naver review or adding their KakaoTalk channel. We nearly pulled an all-nighter if we hadn't kept track.

What to eat at ZERO100 PC Gireum: Americano, cola popcorn chicken and a hot dog

ZERO100 PC Gireum also has a really solid food menu. Even though we'd already eaten a big meal beforehand, I somehow felt hungry again.

First I ordered a coffee, and honestly the quality was on par with an actual café.

This is the real strawberry latte my friend ordered — she said it was sweet and delicious. I only ever drink Americano, but having such a wide drink menu is definitely a plus.

We also ordered cola-popcorn chicken and a hot dog, both great snacks to munch on while gaming. Personally, the hot dog was my favorite.

Anyway, it was a fun and filling time back at a PC café after a long break. If you're looking for a PC café near Gireum Station, this one is worth checking out.
