Gangnam Station Korean restaurant for a rainy day: Dakgalbijeon

Dakgalbijeon Gangnam Branch is a dakgalbi (Korean stir-fried chicken) and potato pancake restaurant on the 2nd floor of Gangnam Diobil in Seocho, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 9. Craving potato pancake on a rainy day, the writer and a friend ordered the gamjachidak set for two at 40,000 won and wrapped cheese dakgalbi in perilla-leaf potato pancakes, with the salty sauce mellowed by the pancake. The set alone filled up two people, so the fried rice at Dakgalbijeon was saved for the next visit.

Late-evening Gangneung café for milk tank bread: Baegya Coffee

Baegya Coffee is a four-floor, large-scale ocean-view bakery café on Haean-ro in front of Sageunjin Beach in Gangneung. Arriving close to closing time, we had the milk tank bread (8.0) and fig campagne (7.0) with iced milk tea and chamomile at a window seat in the 3rd-floor WHITE space, watching the sun set over the water. If you want an ocean-view café quieter than the Anmok Beach café street, Baegya Coffee is the answer.
