Noju lunch course for two: what's in it
This time we ordered the Noju lunch course for two.

The lunch course at Noju, the fine dining spot in Mangwon, has 8 courses in total. Every dish has its own personality and is made with care, so you really feel looked after.
How each dish in the Noju lunch course tasted

Each table at Noju is set with basic tableware, and there's a single fresh flower in a glass bottle. It's such a thoughtful touch and put me in a good mood.
Starter bread with yuja ricotta cheese
The Noju lunch course starts with bread. You spread yuja ricotta cheese on the warm, crispy bread. I'd never had yuja (citron) with ricotta before, but the fresh, zesty combo worked so well!!!
Beet and endive bites
Next come two bite-sized dishes made with beets and endive. When the food arrives, the chef kindly explains everything himself, from the ingredients to how to eat it.
They were clean, light bites, like appetizers. ^^

Sesame oil arancini
Noju's arancini (fried rice ball) gets its depth of flavor from rice and sesame oil. The filling tasted like the inside of a meat dumpling. The chef told us to cut it in half to eat. The white part is rice, and the sesame oil aroma rises up, so it was really nutty and delicious.

Zucchini jambon with Emmental cheese sauce
Noju's jambon has bacon and mozzarella cheese inside a zucchini, with an Emmental cheese sauce. I'd never had a dish like it, and I was surprised that even with two cheeses it wasn't greasy at all, just full of rich flavor.
The zucchini had a smoky, grilled aroma, and I was amazed you can cook zucchini like this. ^^

Octopus and clam pasta
Noju's octopus and clam dish is a pasta with clams and octopus. The portion looks small, but as I ate it turned out to be just right. The sauce wasn't overpowering, so I could taste the pasta itself, and both aroma and flavor came through. I really enjoyed it.

Signature truffle gnocchi
Ta-da, the signature dish of Noju: the gnocchi. Just looking at it made me gasp!!!
They grate the truffle fresh at the table, and the aroma and flavor were insane!!!! I like truffle in general, and you can really tell they use good truffle.
It's made with potato and fried, and the soft potato went so well with the chewy outside. ^^ It tasted like a true signature dish of Noju.

Iberico pork with jalapeño and mashed potatoes
The main at Noju is Iberico pork served with jalapeño and mashed potatoes. Eat the meat, jalapeño and potato in one bite and it's a party of textures, with the Iberico juices bursting out so that you can't help smiling. ^^

Dessert: lemon sorbet
The last dessert of the Noju fine dining course is lemon sorbet. It was white, so I wondered if it was yogurt, but it was pure freshness, a lemon sorbet. It was the perfect clean finish after the meal!
