Zebra Sikdang Yeongtong Branch is a Japanese restaurant that's great for lunch in Mangpo. It serves everything from sukiyaki (Japanese-style beef hot pot) to pasta, eggplant rice bowls and raw beef rice bowls~ (I've already eaten in Mangpo a few times and came back again 🐙) Let's start the review right away!
Location and parking at Zebra Sikdang Yeongtong Branch
It's right in front of Mangpo Station, so it's super easy to get to! There's also a big underground car park in the building, so coming by car is totally fine. 👏
The interior is clean and bright too, so it's a good Mangpo lunch spot for a date or a get-together!

This time we ordered sukiyaki for ₩16,000, Taeyang Pasta for ₩14,500, and an extra egg sauce for ₩1,000.

There were lots of other dishes, like the eggplant rice bowl, pasta and raw beef/salmon rice bowls featured in the Anyang episode of Pungja's Ttogangjip, but we went with the ones above. The prices were decent too!
What does Taeyang Pasta taste like?
Zebra Sikdang's Taeyang Pasta is a slightly spicy cream pasta. It came out first~! Doesn't it look amazing? 👏
It looked so pretty and the portion seemed generous, so it passed my first test right away~!
Sukiyaki served right in the pot
Next was the sukiyaki, one of the signature dishes! It's under ₩20,000 yet the portion is surprisingly big, which I loved!
It comes in a pot and looks so pretty that I was in a good mood before even eating, haha. Looking at the ingredients one by one, everything seemed really fresh and well prepped! You just cook it on the burner underneath 🤎
A cream sauce good enough for someone who doesn't like pasta
While the sukiyaki cooked, I tried the Taeyang Pasta first, and the cream was so thick and rich! It wasn't heavy at all, just a really delicious cream pasta 🤍
I don't normally like pasta, but the pasta here was honestly really good! The noodles were cooked just right ❤️
The nutty, smooth cream sauce soaked into the noodles, thick yet full of flavor! There were also plenty of mushrooms, bacon and shrimp, so it felt like a really upscale pasta. I recommend this dish so much 🥺🥺👏
Can two people share two dishes?
At Zebra Sikdang Yeongtong Branch we ordered the pasta and sukiyaki, asked for small plates, and shared both. I think ordering two dishes and sharing is even better! Meanwhile, the sukiyaki was fully cooked, so let's try it~!
The cooked ingredients all look so fresh and well prepped, right~? I dug in right away, and the broth is soy sauce-based, so it's a bit salty, you know?
Sukiyaki egg sauce: ₩1,000 extra for two people
One order of sukiyaki comes with one raw egg sauce, but since two of us were eating, we paid ₩1,000 extra for another one! Dipping the food in the egg tones down the saltiness so the seasoning is just right~~
How do creamy pasta and soy-broth sukiyaki taste together?
Honestly, today was the first time I realized pasta and sukiyaki go so well together~~ Thick, creamy pasta with salty soy-broth sukiyaki 🤎👏
It's a mix of vegetables and carbs, so you get a filling meal. I highly recommend Zebra Sikdang Yeongtong Branch for lunch in Mangpo!
The sukiyaki has lots of different vegetables and meat, like mushrooms, napa cabbage, beef and bean sprouts, so it feels easy to digest and healthy! Strongly recommended, haha
The pasta was honestly the best I've had recently! Total pass,,, 💋 It isn't heavy, so you keep reaching for more! Zebra Sikdang Yeongtong Branch in Mangpo is a place I'll crave again 👍🏻
At the end they even gave us a yogurt, which was perfect for freshening up the mouth.
