In short
Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station (면식당 망포역점) is a Japanese restaurant on the first floor of Golden Square, right outside Exit 3 of Mangpo Station in Suwon, serving ramen, soba, katsu and rice bowls. One weekend lunch of tonkotsu ramen and mala tonkotsu ramen, plus a mini buta-don (pork rice bowl), hire katsu (pork tenderloin cutlet) and a lemonade, came to ₩31,700, with rich broth, a chewy egg topping and crispy hire katsu all hitting the mark. Where is Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station, and can you park?
Myeonsikdang (면식당) Mangpo Station is on the first floor of the building right in front of Exit 3 of Mangpo Station. You get 2 hours of free parking in the building's underground lot, so it's easy to come by car, which I loved! Besides ramen, they also had tonkatsu, pho and lots of other dishes 🤎😀
The restaurant is on the first floor too, so we could walk right in! We went on a weekend lunch and it was busy. There's a break time from 3:30 to 5:00, so try to avoid that window! Unlimited rice comes with one menu item per person, and I heard you also get a free drink if you write a Naver receipt review!

Seating and how to order at Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station
There were tables for four, tables for two, and even counter seats (dacchi-seok)! The place was full of diners when we walked in, so I took the photo from the side with no customers!
The counter seats are good enough for eating alone, so it feels like a great spot for a quick meal. Ordering is all by kiosk, which is convenient, and you can insert your card and pay right when you order!

Let me place my order too!

Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station menu, prices and what we ordered
The menu had a wide range of ramen, soba, katsu (breaded cutlets), rice bowls and more. There's also a set for two at ₩29,800, and it comes with ade.
We ordered one tonkotsu ramen, one mala tonkotsu ramen, and as sides a mini buta-don (pork rice bowl), hire katsu (pork fillet cutlet) and a lemonade, for ₩31,700 in total! The regular tonkotsu ramen is ₩8,900, which is a really kind price!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Lemonade in a big bottle
The lemonade came out first, in a huge bottle! I stirred it well and it had a really fresh lemony taste 🤝

If you like refreshing drinks, I recommend ordering one too!

A generous set for around ₩30,000
And here's our set, which came right after! It's in the ₩30,000 range but came out super generous, so the portions felt big for the price! I'd recommend it if you want a simple meal near Mangpo!

Maybe because the prices are low, there were lots of students too~~

How were the tonkotsu ramen and mala tonkotsu ramen?
Both the tonkotsu ramen and the mala tonkotsu ramen at Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station had a really rich, slightly salty, deep broth. The photo above is the mala tonkotsu ramen I ordered.

And this is the basic tonkotsu ramen! I tried both, and the broth was so rich, salty and deep that I thought it was delicious 🤭

Moist pork topping and fresh bean sprouts too~~

The noodles are on the thin side, so they slid down easily and tasted great!

Side dishes: mini hire katsu and buta-don
These are the mini hire katsu and buta-don you can choose when you order a set at Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station~~ The hire katsu was super crispy, with that classic, by-the-book tonkatsu taste, so I was satisfied 👍🏻

If you like mala tang, try the mala tonkotsu ramen
The mala tonkotsu ramen I had felt like the basic tonkotsu with mala flavor added, so it was spicier and more stimulating! If you love mala tang like me, you'll definitely like this broth!

The mala tonkotsu ramen comes with an egg topping, and that egg is seriously good. Chewy and moist, so it passes with flying colors! 🤎👍🏻

Is Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station good value?
After ramen, tonkatsu and buta-don, I was really full~~ I was so glad there's a place at Mangpo Station where you can eat such a variety of Japanese dishes, and the prices are so kind that they felt reasonable.

I recommend Myeonsikdang Mangpo Station to these people!!

- Anyone who likes ramen with a rich broth
- Anyone who wants unlimited rice with one order per person
- Anyone who wants sides like tonkatsu and buta-don too
