Why did I choose these for winter outdoor activities?
My hands get cold in winter, so I looked for gloves that could work not only for skiing or snowboarding but also for outdoor activities like running, cycling, and tennis. I chose the Oneable 3M Thinsulate Ski Gloves based on warmth, waterproofing, hand movement, and everyday usability.
How warm did they feel when worn?
The gloves use 3M Thinsulate insulation. Rather than simply feeling thick, they felt lightweight when worn, and the inside of my hands warmed up relatively quickly. The brushed lining also helped keep them comfortable over long periods of wear.
Is it easy to use a smartphone while wearing them?
There is an extended touchscreen pad that reaches not only the index fingertip but also the side of the index finger, making it easier to use a smartphone with the gloves on. I used the microfiber material on the thumb to wipe sweat from my face or clear fog from glasses and goggles.
What are the grip and waterproof construction like?
The non-slip pad on the palm gave me a secure feel when holding ski poles or bicycle handlebars. The seamless construction, which keeps joined sections from touching the hand, also made them feel comfortable to wear.
