Where do you buy the things your home needs? I used to shop online, but after visiting On Saenghwal (온생활) once, it's now the place I always head to when the house needs something.

On Saenghwal near Seogucheong Station: location, opening hours and parking
On Saenghwal is 82m from Exit 4 of Seogucheong Station in Seo-gu, Incheon, so it was really close. It's open from 9:30 to 22:00, and for parking you use the mechanical parking lot across the street.

How cheap are the ramen and frozen food at On Saenghwal's entrance?
At the entrance, On Saenghwal was selling the very popular Samyang 1963 ramen for ₩3,100. It's in the ₩6,000 range at regular supermarkets and ₩4,000–5,000 even online, but here it's a whopping ₩3,100!!!? Isn't that really cheap!? Seriously, go search it. I was so surprised that the ramen was already this cheap right at the entrance.

Assorted frozen foods are also displayed at the entrance, and they were much cheaper than what I usually buy. Wait, is something wrong with them if everything is this cheap? Nope, they were perfectly fine products.

What's on the 1st floor of On Saenghwal?
Once I walked in, there was 1,000-won bread (4 for ₩3,000) and all kinds of snacks. On Saenghwal is really popular with students too; lots of students from nearby schools come by. It felt a bit like a snack shop in front of a school?

Near the entrance there were lotions and cosmetics for women, toiletries, hair dye and more. They're things every home needs, so if something catches your eye, I recommend stocking up on one or two.

How do group buys work at On Saenghwal?
On Saenghwal also runs group buys, so you can get things even cheaper. If you reserve ahead, they prepare the goods for you. I came without a reservation that day, but lots of people had reserved everything from cherry tomatoes to all sorts of products through group buy, then came in to pay and pick them up.

The 1st floor also has a big stationery corner, with cute school supplies kids can use for their studies.
2nd-floor group-buy goods and housewarming gifts at On Saenghwal
Even the stairs up to the 2nd floor were lined with products, so many of them. If I exaggerate just a little, On Saenghwal has over 10,000 kinds of items. It felt like a home goods warehouse?
I'd strongly recommend On Saenghwal to these people: when you can't decide what housewarming gift to pick, or when you're visiting a friend's place and don't want to show up empty-handed! Grabbing one home item from On Saenghwal means no more gift worries.
The 2nd floor has group-buy products, so regular shoppers can buy more cheaply too, with a range from food to electronics. Even the foods I usually eat were almost 30–50% cheaper.

The prices are really low, so buying two or three wouldn't feel like a burden. I thought these would make good housewarming gifts too.

On Saenghwal's maze-like 2nd floor, from electronics to pet supplies
The 2nd floor of On Saenghwal is much bigger than the 1st. It's a maze-like space packed full of products, and it's no exaggeration to say it has everything in the world.
Even beyond home goods, there are computers, phones and electronics, so it's almost a general store? Even if you don't need anything, you wander in, look around and think "Oh right! I needed this!" and end up buying it. I also found things there that I'd needed for a while but never knew where to get.
There are dog snacks, dog food and pet supplies too. There's a wide variety, so you can compare and choose.
For bathroom supplies and detergents, everything you use in the bathroom was there, including fabric softener and laundry detergent. If you just have a home, you can fill in the rest from On Saenghwal.
There are car supplies too, from rubbing compound to car diffusers and accessories.

There's a kids' toy corner as well. I didn't take a photo, but there were board games not just for kids but for adults too, such as Rummikub.

How much is a ramen pot as a housewarming gift for a studio apartment?
The ramen pots at On Saenghwal ran from just over ₩10,000 to nearly ₩20,000. Wow, I'd always wanted a ramen pot, and the price was really cheap. It's a great gift for people living alone, perfect as a housewarming gift for a one-room apartment.

How much are the ornamental fish at On Saenghwal?
The highlight of On Saenghwal is the ornamental fish. Prices vary, starting from ₩1,000. The fish were so cute in person that I almost wanted to keep some.
There are lots of colorful fish and the prices are low, so if you want to keep fish, give it a try.

I was able to buy all sorts of things I'd needed. On Saenghwal is a magical store where, once you step in while passing by, things you need keep catching your eye. For housewarming gifts for friends or home goods shopping, I highly recommend On Saenghwal!
