The place is really spacious and clean! We went on a Sunday afternoon, and there were already guests eating when we arrived haha. Really bustling — seems like word has already gotten out that it's delicious >.<

What comes in Set C, and how long do you get?

The menu has a really wide range of options~ but the important thing is that this is Jangsodam, where you can eat eel + beef together! haha. You can order freshwater eel as a single item too, but here it's obviously better to go with a set menu — we ordered C Set (eel + beef + pork + yukhoe) 😁

Time limit is 120 minutes for eel + beef, 100 minutes for pork! Set menu pricing differs by adult/elementary schooler/preschooler, so it's good to check that :)

What's on the Jangsodam self-bar, from pork to Han River ramyeon

And a point you can't leave out at Jangsodam is the self-bar! First off, you can get unlimited pork refills from the self-bar~ pretty amazing right?ㅎㅎ There's also salt dakgalbi, teriyaki dakgalbi, tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), samgyeopsal, galbi, sausages, and so much more to eat *.*

There's also sundae (blood sausage), tteokbokki, jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork), pasta, dubu kimchi, rice ball ingredients, and a wide range of other Korean, Chinese, and street food dishes!

You can also mix up a variety of sauces~ and there are small side dishes and accompaniments too!

And at Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store there's a corner where you can cook Han River ramyeon yourself! After eating your fill of meat, you've got to finish with ramyeon to feel refreshed, right?! The ramyeon selection is huge too — Shin Ramyun, Jin Ramyun, Ansung Tangmyun, Chapagetti, Buldak Bokkeummyeon, Snack Ramen, Teumsae Ramyeon, Yeul Ramyeon, Neoguri — so many great choices👍

There's also soda, coffee, and ice cream!!

Set C yukhoe and the five beef cuts

Our C Set arrived! The beef composition in C Set is a bit different from the other sets~

First off, yukhoe comes out, and the beef is buchaesal, galbisal, sirloin, woo samgyeop, and cheokgalbi! The side dishes come out like this at first, and if you need more you can just grab extras from the self-bar!

This is about how much yukhoe you get~ we were so busy grilling beef that our son ate a bit and we ended up leaving some ㅠㅠ Looking back now, it's such a shame we left it 😆 It was yukhoe with almost no seasoning, really tasting like the meat itself... haha

We brought over onion strips with sauce drizzled on top, ready to eat the beef haha.

Grilling woo samgyeop and sirloin

We grilled woo samgyeop (beef belly) first, and it was surprisingly really tasty haha. The charcoal here was pretty strong, so the woo samgyeop cooked in no time and was so nutty and delicious!

Next up, sirloin ~~

Honestly my expectations for buffet meat quality were low, so I figured the beef would be about average??! But it wasn't at all! It was so delicious it felt like being at an actual beef specialty restaurant — I was surprised😍

Not tough at all, no weird smell whatsoever, tender and really nutty and delicious💛

Next up, grilling galbisal

The galbisal had absolutely no gamey smell, wasn't tough, and had a great chewy texture! Chewy with rich meaty flavor too — totally delicious👍

A serving robot brings the refills

We loved the woo samgyeop so much we ordered a refill haha. When you order a refill, a robot comes over and brings it to you like this.

Maybe because the woo samgyeop was thin and tasty, our 8-year-old son ate it up really well >//<

Buchaesal and cheokgalbi on the grill

Now, I normally don't really like buchaesal (skirt-adjacent cut). The buchaesal I've had before was often dry and tough and I couldn't tell what the flavor was supposed to be, but honestly the buchaesal here at Jangsodam was so tender and delicious I wondered what they did to it (?) ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So clean-tasting and soft, really delicious

We also grilled something called cheokgalbi, which had a firmer, more solid texture!

Ramyeon as a palate cleanser, then the freshwater eel

Before eating the eel, we boiled up some ramyeon to clear out the beef and slurped it down 🧡

To fill our refreshed stomachs again, we grilled up some eel +_+ In particular, the eel at Jangsodam, an all-you-can-eat spot in Yeongjong, Incheon, is freshwater eel known for its thick, meaty flesh, grilled fillet-style — eel lovers absolutely must go!

It was really plump and fluffy, delicious eel! The quality was quite good too 👍 So even though we were already full from all the beef, the eel was so good we packed our stomachs full of that too 😁
