Jamsil octopus restaurant, date-night bossam platter: Muneo Cheonha
Muneo Cheonha is an octopus restaurant in the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Mongchontoseong Station. On a weekend evening, the writer and her husband ordered the signature live octopus and bossam samhap platter (55,000 won) and were served complimentary griddled corn cheese and steamed egg; the poached live octopus was tender rather than chewy, and the boiled pork was moist with no gamey smell. Neither the seafood nor the meat fell short, so the price felt fair for what arrived.
