Bangi-dong eating street, a good place for daytime drinking in Jamsil: Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch. Big windows let in lots of light, and the space is roomy, so it seems great for group gatherings too. The interior is moody and pretty. There are lots of comfy sofa seats, plus a beam projector and a TV.

Mom and I were walking around Jamsil in the daytime and it was so hot that we ducked in for a beer and a light bite. Good choice 👍

The menu at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is really varied, from seafood to fruit anju like melon, watermelon and pineapple. We ordered raw shrimp, melon and 2 draft beers.

The menu is seriously huge, and there was even more than what's shown here. You'll definitely find at least one thing you want. I loved that the fruit anju come in so many kinds too. It was a hot summer day, and having melon with draft beer, with the sweet juice bursting in my mouth, made me so happy 👍 👍 👍

I like that they have seafood too. I'm curious about the steamed whole squid as well. We ordered raw shrimp, melon and 2 draft beers.

The free side dish is macaroni salad, with egg and ham in it. Did they make it themselves? It doesn't feel store-bought.

At Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, draft beer is ₩100 if you come in before 7pm. We drank two glasses for ₩200.

I was shocked. Legendary value. The taste just washes the heat away in one go, T_T. The draft beer went down glug glug 😁

The stained-glass lamps were so, so pretty. They played Crayon Shin-chan on the huge beam projector, which added a spoonful of cuteness.

How were the portion and taste of the melon fruit plate?

The melon anju at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch seemed like a whole melon's worth, so we could eat as much as we wanted. The melon was sweet and in great condition.

I like fruit anyway, but in summer I crave it even more. They have watermelon and pineapple too, so the fruit anju are varied. It's the perfect fruit anju when you're full and don't want to order more food, or when you've come for a 2nd round. Delicious fruit that doesn't fill you up.

What comes with the raw shrimp at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch?

The raw shrimp (saeu-hoe) at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch comes with fried shrimp heads, 3 dipping sauces, sliced garlic, chili peppers, seaweed (gim) and sesame-oil-dressed aged kimchi. They said it came straight up from Sinan.

This is a hard-to-find anju, so I ordered it right away when I saw it. The set is so good. A truly generous lineup. They said it came straight up from Sinan, so I trusted it and dug in, haha. You're supposed to be careful with seafood in summer, but honestly I've never been careful. I always eat it happily ^_^

Cold raw fish alone can feel a bit empty, so it's a smart touch that fried shrimp heads come with it 👍 👍 👍 Warm, oily and so delicious. Dunk them in the sriracha mayo and it's the ultimate combo. The sauce was so good that I got a refill.

It's a regular bar, not a seafood specialist, yet the raw shrimp quality was decent. The portion was generous for two people.

The plating is so pretty too, hahaha. Usually seafood at a bar comes in a tiny portion, but at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, even though I went without having eaten a meal, I was full after the raw shrimp and melon.

How to enjoy the raw shrimp

Put aged kimchi on a piece of seaweed, add the raw shrimp, then dip sliced garlic in chogochujang (sweet-and-sour chili sauce) and eat it together with wasabi. So good. Rich flavor fills your whole mouth.
