Lactose-free latte café at Songdo outlet: hojicha soft serve, Wunder
In short
Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a coffee and dessert café in the B1 food square of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo in Incheon. During a shopping trip, the writer ordered an Americano, a vanilla and hojicha mixed soft serve, and a hojicha gato, and singled out the option to switch lattes to oat or lactose-free milk as a plus. The kaimak (clotted cream) was sold out, but Wunder Coffee Bar's coffee and desserts were good enough that the writer plans to return.

I went shopping at Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo and stopped by Wunder Coffee Bar (분더커피바), which locals call Songhyeona. I remembered loving both the coffee and the desserts when I visited the Sinchon branch, so I was happy to find one here too. If you're looking for a café in Songdo, or you're running low on sugar or craving coffee mid-shopping, this is my recommendation for good coffee in Songdo!

Since it's in the B1 food square, it was really easy to drop in when my sugar ran low while shopping!

Is Wunder Coffee Bar okay with kids?
Besides coffee, Wunder has non-coffee drinks and desserts, so it works well if you're bringing children. The coffee menu is varied too, with plenty of choices.

A Songdo café where you can switch your latte to lactose-free milk
Lattes at Wunder can be switched to oat milk or lactose-free milk, so people with lactose intolerance can enjoy a tasty latte too! The latte was genuinely delicious. Oat milk swaps are common, but lactose-free milk swaps are really rare, right? What a thoughtful touch 👍🏻

Wunder's kaimak was sold out, and I'm still sad about it
The Songdo outlet Wunder is great at desserts too. At another branch I once had kaimak (a thick, clotted-cream-style spread) with white ciabatta, and it was so good I still remember it! Rich, creamy kaimak full of milky flavor with soft ciabatta on the side... it's the kind of taste that makes you swoon ✨
It was sold out when I visited, so I couldn't have it, which was such a shame. If you love desserts, I definitely recommend it!

Top hygiene grade and an open kitchen
The Songdo outlet Wunder holds a "very good" hygiene grade, which made me trust it even more. It's an open shop so you can see inside, and even at a glance it was kept super clean.

What I ordered at Wunder: Americano, mixed soft serve, hojicha gato
This time I ordered an Americano, a vanilla + hojicha (roasted green tea) mixed soft serve, and a hojicha gato (gâteau). The soft serve comes in a cone or a cup, and I chose a cup so it would be easy to eat while shopping. The cone did look tastier, though.

Is hojicha ice cream bitter?
Wunder's hojicha ice cream isn't strongly bitter. It has a subtle roasted-tea aroma with a deep, nutty richness. I'd assumed hojicha ice cream would be quite bitter, but not at all! The sweetness isn't overdone, so it tasted really refined!
It was my first hojicha ice cream and it's truly charming. I like milk tea and I like matcha, but matcha can be hit or miss for some people. Hojicha ice cream is tasty without being divisive. If you're craving something sweet at the outlet, I'd say go for it.
There's a plain vanilla too, and you can order a hojicha + vanilla mix, so if hojicha feels like a challenge, I recommend half-and-half. Highly, highly recommended 👍🏻 And the affogato is really good too.

Would I go back to this Songdo outlet café?
The coffee is good and the desserts have character, so I recommend Wunder if you're looking for great coffee in Songdo. It was a nice place to rest while shopping at Hyundai Premium Outlet, and I was happy with both the coffee and the desserts, so I'm 100% going back. Next time I'll make sure to try the kaimak! ☕🍦✨
