I'd always kept my hair long. But I'm a mom, and washing and drying my hair in the evening felt like a chore. So I impulsively cut it, and it actually got harder to manage and harder to style nicely.

While she cut, I was a little worried because I'd never had a bob and wasn't sure it would suit me. Somehow she seemed to know, told me not to worry and that she'd do a good job, so I trusted her, haha.

How does the cut go?

First came a shampoo, then she carefully cut my hair. As she cut, she kept asking my opinion so it would turn out the way I wanted. The design cut, I was told, comes after styling.

Volume magic, C-curl perm and matte brown root dye

First she applied the solution and did the volume magic, then rolled my hair into a C-curl and neutralized it.

With three treatments it took a while, but we kept cheering each other on and chatting, so the time flew. Still, doing it all at once beat coming back to the salon just for root dye.

My hair tends to turn reddish, so she used matte brown for the root dye. I'm so happy with the color too ♡ After the dye, she re-cut it as a design cut.

After: how did the first bob turn out?

It came out so calm and neat. I liked it so much I took tons of photos. I immediately bragged on KakaoTalk to my mom and sister that I'd cut my hair; my sister said the bob suits me, and my mom said I look much younger and gave me loads of compliments.

I didn't want to just go home that day, so we ate out, and my husband said it looked great on me, with literally hearts popping out of his eyes, hahaha.
