Cheongna shabu-shabu team lunch with perilla oil noodles: Shabuway

Shabu-shabu! For someone who's all about Vietnamese rice wraps, this place is heaven haha

On Tuesday, September 22nd, we went to Shabuway Ruwon City Branch, a Cheongna shabu-shabu spot, for a team lunch! There are so many all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu places these days, so honestly I went in thinking "they're probably all the same~" — but as soon as my teammates tasted it they said "the meat quality here is different from the start" haha. The tables were spacious and the vibe felt upscale, so for anyone looking for a team dinner or family gathering spot, I've laid it out in order: basic info → space → menu and taste.

Where is Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch, and is parking free?

Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch is on the 2nd floor of Ruwon Top Plaza in Ruwon City, and it was easy to reach by car. The address is 11 Yeomgok-ro 464beon-gil, Seohae-gu, Incheon, open daily 11:30–21:30 with a break time of 15:30–17:00 (none on weekends or holidays, apparently).

It's within walking distance of Gajeong Station on Incheon Line 2. We caught a ride with our team lead's car, and it was convenient to pull straight into the building's parking lot. Parking is free for 2 hours, apparently.

For reference, since July of this year, Incheon's Seo-gu was renamed Seohae-gu. Some listings still show "Seo-gu" as the address, but it's the same place!

Is Shabuway good for a team lunch? Table spacing and kids' supplies

Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch had wide table spacing, which made it perfect for a team meal. When you think all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, tables crammed right next to each other is usually the first image that comes to mind.

But here, the space between tables was generous and relaxed, so we could talk comfortably without worrying about the next table. The interior was clean and calm-toned too, giving it more of a proper shabu-shabu restaurant feel than a typical "all-you-can-eat joint."

It's the kind of place you'd have no worries bringing your team lead to, haha. We went at weekday lunch with 3 people and were comfortably seated at a 4-person table. As a working mom, I noticed that even at a team dinner spot, they had high chairs and kids' utensils ready. Even bibs^^ Seems like a great place to bring kids too!

Half spicy, half mild broth and the meat at Shabuway

All my teammates said it was "a step above other all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu places." All three of us ordered the all-you-can-eat option.

Shabu-shabu: fresh vegetables and beef in the two-broth pot

You can split the broth half-and-half, so we went with spicy broth + mild broth.

Alternating between one spicy and hearty, and one light and clean, kept us from getting tired of it until the end.

The meat came sliced thin, so it cooked in an instant with just a quick dip. The color looked fresh, a bright red from the start, and my teammates kept saying "they're using good meat~" while going back for more refills haha.

At first I thought all-you-can-eat might be a bit pricey haha, but seeing how much meat we kept eating, I thought — yeah, this is what all-you-can-eat should be ^^

Minari (water dropwort), napa cabbage, mushrooms — you can load up as much as you want, and enjoy healthy, delicious shabu-shabu until you're full at Shabuway in Seohae, Incheon!

You can tell the freshness just from the photos, right?

They also have porridge and kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) ready. Finish off your shabu-shabu with kalguksu!

The Vietnamese rice wrap self-bar, my favorite part of Shabuway

The vegetables at the self-bar at Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch were so fresh that I got to wrap Vietnamese rice paper rolls to my heart's content. Whenever I go for shabu-shabu, I'm 100% on Team Rice Wrap haha.

Shabu-shabu, then rice wraps... I really went all out. The self-bar vegetables were each crisp and fresh, so wrapping them up felt like eating a full serving of fresh vegetables. If it tastes good, it's zero calories...

My coworkers, haha, said wrapping rice paper by hand is a bit of a hassle, so they mostly stuck to the shabu-shabu... but at this Ruwon City shabu-shabu spot, I went all in on rice wraps haha.

Shabuway's shabu-shabu in Ruwon City is great, but I'd recommend the rice wraps too!

Buffet sides, perilla oil makguksu and dessert

Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch's buffet menu exceeded expectations too. They even have tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), fried chicken, and pizza, even though the main event is shabu-shabu.

Even as sides they were so good I went back for more several times.

There's one dish you absolutely should try! Perilla oil noodles are our team lead's strongly recommended item. The nutty perilla oil aroma was perfect as a palate cleanser after the shabu-shabu. The finishing dessert was excellent too. Even when full, there's always room for dessert, right... haha

Ha, look at how the toppings are arranged on the ice cream by someone who clearly knows what they're doing haha. A Cheongna shabu-shabu favorite! I recommend Shabuway's desserts too!

Beyond ice cream and drinks, there's even fresh seasonal fruit ready. At this point it's basically hotel-style!! I'd say Shabuway is worth recommending as a high-quality shabu-shabu spot in Cheongna, Incheon!!
