Cheongna shabu-shabu with a baby on solids, 2-color kalguksu: Shabuway

Today was a family eating-out day with the baby!! My husband had the day off and I didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to eat out haha. I searched early for Cheongna Ruwon City restaurants for dinner, and we headed off to the shabu-shabu buffet Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch~~

Where is Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch?

It's at 11 Yeomgok-ro 464beon-gil, Seo-gu, Incheon, on the 2nd floor of Ruwon Top Plaza. I pass this building all the time, but since it's on the 2nd floor I think I never noticed it. It was still easy to find!

Atmosphere, high chair and QR ordering

The moment we walked in, my thought was: clean and classy! Kind of like an art museum? The food must be just as classy, right?

We were shown to a seat at the back, and they got a high chair ready for us. Ordering is simple, just scan a QR code! Since it's all-you-can-eat anyway there's no menu to choose, which I loved.

What's on the Shabuway buffet?

The buffet runs all the way from the entrance, and everything is neatly organized, so it was easy to find things and fill your plate.

Fresh shabu-shabu vegetables

There was a huge variety, from salads to vegetables for the shabu-shabu! The vegetables were really fresh, so I went back several times. Napa cabbage, kabocha squash, bean sprouts, bok choy and other buffet must-haves were all there. While searching for Cheongna Ruwon City restaurants I looked at several shabu-shabu places, and I was quite happy with the vegetable selection here!!

Sauce combination guide

Shabuway has a sauce combination guide. Basic sauces mixed with add-ins mean you don't get tired of them and can eat more! Do mix a tasty sauce, and check the guide for reference.

Self-serve porridge corner

After a big meal, the last course is, of course??? Porridge!! There's a separate self-serve porridge corner, so we planned to have it after finishing the shabu-shabu.

How much is the unlimited draft beer at Shabuway?

You can get unlimited draft beer for just ₩5,000, the price of one glass. The best thing compared with other shabu-shabu buffets is the unlimited beer! Plenty of places do it, of course, but I loved this price ❤️ I had to look after the baby, so I'll have it next time ㅠ such a shame..

Signature two-color kalguksu

Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) is an essential way to finish. Shabuway's noodles come in two colors, so they look good and taste good. There were also tteok (rice cakes) and dumplings.

Other buffet items: rice paper rolls, fruit, fried food, pizza

There are rice paper roll ingredients, fruit and kabocha squash salad, so you can have something fresh.

With fried food, meat dishes, pizza and more, it's fun to grab other dishes in between the shabu-shabu haha

Shabuway meat and soup

The most important thing in shabu-shabu is the meat! Shabuway's beef and pork are said to be selected cuts with good quality and flavor, and with several types it was easy to pick what you like. Among Cheongna Ruwon City restaurants, I think shabu-shabu lovers will be quite satisfied~~

There are also 2 kinds of soup to start with. They're good for babies too, so I brought back a bowl of mushroom cream soup.

Shabuway's basic setup: 2 broths and 4 meats

Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch gives you 2 broths, 4 kinds of meat and vegetables as the basic setup, and the mala broth comes with wide glass noodles, tofu puffs and peanut sauce, the classic mala tang sidekick.

Look at the quality of the meat ㅠㅠ The color and thickness are so good.

The basic mala side dishes, kimchi and spicy gochujang-seasoned radish are must-haves to cut the richness.

I brought back some soup for the baby, and we got chicken and sweet potato fries, and the baby was eyeing them^^..

How spicy is the mala broth?

Shabuway's mala broth is a really deep, rich mala tang flavor, so it could be tough for anyone who can't handle spicy food. I put in lots of the vegetables and meat, boiled it hard, waited until the vegetable and meat broth came out, and cooled the food a little on a plate.

Ice cream for dessert

Ice cream for dessert, of course! I liked that Shabuway's ice cream lets you customize it with any toppings you want.

Eating out at Shabuway Ruwon City Cheongna Branch with a baby on solid foods was so easy. The baby had soup, and I cut up the rice, meat and mushrooms from the basic broth, and the baby ate them well haha. And smiled at the guests at the table behind us, such an angel 👼

Use the Ace Tower parking lot, which covers up to 2 hours of parking, so check that before you park!!

Overall verdict

I found Shabuway while searching for Cheongna Ruwon City restaurants, and I was more satisfied than I expected!! It isn't just shabu-shabu: you also get salad, fried food, pizza and ice cream, and the price is cheap, so I thought it's a good-value place for a family meal.

It has high chairs and a fairly spacious interior, so it was easy to visit with a child, and there are private rooms, so it's also good for groups. Personally, I liked being able to take as many fresh vegetables as I wanted and the clean-tasting broth. If you like shabu-shabu or want a good-value meal with lots of different dishes, I think you'll be happy here!! If you're looking for a Cheongna Ruwon City restaurant, it's worth a visit once!❤️
