Black goat extract with mild herbal taste: Heukmidam
In short
I tried Heukmidam Black Goat Extract, a Korean black goat herbal extract, for about a month. The 70 ml individual pouches were easy to keep on hand, and although the flavor was distinctly herbal, I found almost no gamey or fishy taste. The gift-style box also made me consider it for my parents.

When I felt that my stamina was not what it used to be, I received Heukmidam Black Goat Extract and tried it for about a month. Since it was my first time trying black goat extract, I was most curious about the taste and whether it would be easy to take consistently.

What are the box contents and gift packaging like?
I heard that the black goat extract I had been able to drink at Heukmidam could also be purchased online, so I started with one box introduced as a one-month supply.

The shipping box had a black handle, with gold lettering as an accent. I thought it could also be a nice gift for Parents' Day or Teachers' Day.

Inside were three smaller boxes, each containing 10 pouches. Storing them separately did not take up much space, and it was convenient to take one out when I needed it.

What does the product say about its volume and ingredients?
Each pouch contains 70 ml. I was told that it uses female black goats raised in Korea, and that the pre-processing reduces fat and unwanted odors.

When I actually drank it, I could barely notice the characteristic gamey smell of black goat. As a first-time drinker, that made it feel less intimidating.

The stated shelf life was two years from manufacture, and the product I received had been made recently. It was also described as being manufactured in a HACCP-certified facility.

It is said to use 19 ingredients in total, including black goat and several herbal medicinal ingredients, extracted by simmering at a low temperature for a long time. When I drank it, the flavor tasted quite rich.
How did I drink it?
The suggested method was to pour it into a microwave-safe cup or mug and heat it for about 30 seconds. It can be drunk as is, but I found it easier to drink when slightly warmed.

I usually took one pouch in the morning or evening.

Was the flavor as intimidating as its dark color?
The color was so dark that I was a little nervous before drinking it, wondering whether the herbal flavor would be too strong.

Once I tried it, it did have an herbal flavor, but there was almost no fishy taste and it went down cleanly. My hands and feet tend to get cold, and I also felt my body warm up after drinking it.

What impression did it leave after a month?
During the roughly one month I took it, I felt less tired when getting up in the morning and a little lighter while exercising. However, these were personal changes I noticed during the period I took it and cannot be definitively attributed to the product.
What stayed with me was that there was almost none of the fishy taste I had initially worried about, and that the individual packaging made it easy to keep up with. At the time of writing, I was considering buying more to give to my parents for the upcoming Parents' Day.
