While choosing a swimsuit for a summer trip, I looked for something that would photograph well while also offering some body coverage. I wore the Bohemian Blue Gingham Check Shirring Tie-Up One-Piece Swimsuit for the first time at a pool villa I visited with friends.
After recently gaining 3 kg, I found myself looking for a design that would make little areas of concern less noticeable. That is why I chose this swimsuit with its check pattern and shirring.
How did the red check pattern work for body coverage?
Before putting it on, I worried that the color and check pattern might be too bold. Once I wore it, though, it looked more natural than expected, and the pattern seemed to draw the eye away so little areas of concern stood out less. It also made my body lines look a little more dimensional.
For me, it felt less revealing than a bikini, while also being less constricting than one-piece swimsuits can feel. The vintage-style red check made my complexion look brighter in photos, too.
What did the square neckline and tie-up bow feel like?
The square neckline naturally showed the collarbone. To my eye, it made my neck look longer and my face look smaller. The bust has shirring and a tie-up bow, so the fit and sense of volume changed depending on how tightly I tied it.
Was it comfortable to move in and easy to care for?
Since I could wear my swimsuit for a long time during the trip, comfort mattered to me too. The bra pads came built in, so I did not need to bring anything extra, and being able to remove them also made washing easier.
The support beneath the bust felt secure, and I liked how it naturally covered the hips. The hip line did not rise too high, so it felt less revealing, and there was hardly any discomfort when sitting down and getting back up.
It is made from Silky Cooler material, and it felt soft against my skin. When I wore it, it also seemed to dry quickly, which was convenient while moving around.
How did size L fit at 160 cm and 46 kg?
It comes in S, M, and L, and after thinking it over, I chose L. At 160 cm and 46 kg, it fit snugly. Because the bow lets you adjust the fit, I thought a size with a little more room could work as well.
After wearing it at the pool villa, I especially liked the sense of coverage from the checks and shirring, along with the hip line that did not ride up excessively. Even though L fit snugly, it was comfortable to move in, and I was happy with its photo-worthy design for the trip.
