Gyodaepae (교대패) is a Korean barbecue restaurant near Exit 9 of Gyodae Station in Seoul’s Seocho-gu. I ordered the Gyodaepae Set with fresh chilled thin-sliced pork belly, pork neck, steamed egg, and fried rice, and found the meat quick to cook without becoming dry.

Gangnam restaurant date with Hanwoo steak: Awesome Rose

Awesome Rose Garosu-gil Branch is a rose-themed restaurant on Apgujeong-ro 10-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. I ordered Hanwoo Rose Steak and Rose Caprese, liked the tender beef and fresh tomatoes, and found the dim lighting and rose décor suited a date, especially with the complimentary rose I received after the meal.

Hanamato Daehangno Hyehwa is a Japanese-style pub within walking distance of Hyehwa Station in Jongno, Seoul. I had the five-skewer charcoal yakitori set, five-piece oden set, and a Peachtree highball; the subtle charcoal aroma and oden that stayed warm until the end stood out.

Sokcho seafood market red snow crab takeaway

Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot is a seafood shop inside Sokcho Jungang Market, where I picked up a prepared red snow crab lunchbox to eat at my accommodation. The crab was easy to remove from the shell, with a satisfying amount of moist, gently sweet meat, though I still had to pick out the meat myself.
