Don't you sometimes struggle to decide what to do when you want to go out these days?! Especially when it's hot or rainy, I'd rather stay somewhere cool indoors than wander around outside, haha.
So this time I went to Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch (히어로보드게임카페 노원점)!! It has not just board games but also Nintendo and PlayStation, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for things to do in Nowon.
I'd been here before, and I really liked that you can enjoy all sorts of things indoors, haha. This time I also ordered a hot dog set and churros, so I got to enjoy the food properly too!!
Where is Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch?
Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch is on the 3rd floor of a building at 15 Sanggye-ro 3-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Exit 9 of Nowon Station, so it's easy to find, haha.

I thought it makes a nice course: have a meal around Nowon Station first, or meet up with friends and play :)
Seating and atmosphere at Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch

The café has a variety of seating: regular tables, sofa seats, and space that suits group visits. You can pick whatever suits you, haha. There are also partitions between the seats, so it was nice for chatting while playing.

The space is fairly big, so it's good for a group of friends, and it also looked fine for an indoor date for two!! There are blankets too, so if the air conditioning feels a bit cold, you can use one when you need it.

When people hear "board game café," they tend to picture sitting at a table and only playing games. Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch has a range of seating, so it was easier to relax and spend time here, haha.
Does Hero Board Game Cafe have Nintendo, PlayStation and arcade machines too?
Yes, the real charm of Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch is the variety of things to do!! There are lots of board games, and I loved that you can also play Nintendo, PlayStation and arcade machines, haha.

It's a fun place for board game fans, and also for people who want to try different kinds of games. You can choose by taste, from mystery games and escape-room-style games to light games anyone can enjoy!! Friends could each try different games, or a couple could go head to head, haha.

When you're hunting for indoor date spots, the dinner-then-café routine can get repetitive, right? At those times, somewhere you can spend time playing games seems like a good option.

Weather barely matters and there's plenty to do indoors, so keep it in mind as a date course in Nowon!!
What food can you order at Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch?
Besides drinks, the menu has meals like ramyeon (Korean instant noodles) and dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken), plus sweet desserts. This time I ordered the hot dog set and churros!!
You get surprisingly hungry while playing, right?! After concentrating on a game for a long time, my blood sugar seems to drop, haha. Being able to eat snacks at the same time makes it even better, haha. You can order whatever you like. Come for the games, leave having properly enjoyed the snacks too, haha.
Can a snack instead of a drink count as your one order per person?
At Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch, snacks count toward the one-order-per-person rule, so you can order food instead of a drink! At many board game cafés snacks don't count and everyone has to order a drink, but this Nowon board game café isn't like that. You know that's secretly the best, right!!
Hot dog set: an easy snack while gaming at Hero Board Game Cafe
The first thing I ordered was the hot dog set!! Easy-to-eat food like this suits board games, haha. In the middle of a game you start thinking of something simple to eat, and a hot dog is an easy, no-fuss choice, right?!

You end up sitting at a board game café longer than you'd expect, and having food along the way made it more relaxed. It was a good item to share with a friend while playing, or to eat during a short break between games!!

I'm always very happy when I play at this Nowon board game café, Hero. Hope this helps when you visit~~!
