A dessert café near Naebang Station: what is Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch like?
Hodukkakki Brothers (호두까끼형제) Bangbae branch is a handmade walnut pie shop near Naebang Station. I stopped by while looking for a dessert café around Naebang Station, and wait... it turns out there's a branch of the walnut pie place I'd been going to for ages, right here, haha.
If you're looking for a gift dessert, don't even ask, just save Hodukkakki Brothers. I often buy it for my mother-in-law and she eats it up and loves it, haha. You know that if older folks keep going back for something, it's good, right? Haha! If you like walnut pie, this place will hit your taste exactly!
Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch: location and parking
The Bangbae branch is within walking distance of Naebang Station on Line 7, so it's easy to get to! One note: there's no parking in front of the shop, so if you're driving, it's easier to use a nearby public car park!

Inside the shop: 2 tables, mostly takeout
The inside is small and tidy! There are only 2 tables, and it feels less like a café where you linger and more like a place with lots of takeout customers! But honestly, that specialty-shop feel makes me trust it more, you know? Haha!

Hodukkakki Brothers is a handmade pie specialist with just two branches, Yangjae and Bangbae. You can also order through Storefarm, and I hear plenty of people far away order by delivery. Apparently it's popular for gifts, housewarmings and snacks for parents too!!! There are mini sizes as well, so if you want a gift, highly recommended!

How much are the pies at Hodukkakki Brothers?
The handmade pies are in the ₩5,000 range each, which is pretty reasonable, haha. These days a slice of cake at a dessert café easily tops ₩8,000–9,000, so a handmade pie for ₩5,000-something feels easy on the wallet, haha. The coffee prices are friendly too.

On one side of the shop there are cute nutcracker doll props that sneakily steal your attention, haha. If you like a cute, charming vibe, it'd be good for photos too.
What I ordered: Premium Nut Pie MIX1 for ₩35,900

I ordered the Premium Nut Pie MIX1 (₩35,900). I feel like this is the only set I ever eat... It has 4 flavors in one box, so first-time visitors can just go with this! You get to try several kinds, so it's really great as a gift too 👍
They also wrap it up very neatly.

The nut pie box itself looks luxurious, so you can give it as a gift without extra wrapping. I often buy it to eat with my mother-in-law and she loves it ❤
Storing walnut pie: 7 days in the fridge, 30 days in the freezer

When you pack up, they also give you storage instructions: up to 7 days refrigerated and up to 30 days frozen. You can buy ahead and take them out one at a time, so it's a perfect dessert to stock up on, haha.

How did the 4 pie flavors taste?
One reason I like these pies is that they aren't cloying and the natural nutty flavor of the ingredients comes through! If an older person says it's tasty, the flavor is guaranteed~~ haha.

Signature walnut pie and hazelnut cacao pie
The signature walnut pie is generous with walnuts, so the nutty richness really builds the more you chew. The hazelnut cacao pie is just right for chocolate lovers! The sweet, slightly bitter cacao isn't too heavy, so I kept reaching for more, haha.

Original pecan pie and macadamia cheese pie
The original pecan pie has that burst of pecan nuttiness, and with coffee the combo is great 👍 The macadamia cheese pie is sneakily addictive and not overly sweet, so it was my number one pick ❤
Is it worth recommending as a gift dessert near Naebang Station?
Truly worthy of being my favorite dessert spot 😎 The ingredients are good, and it's the kind of taste you keep thinking about after one bite! When I like something, I stick with just that one, haha. If I've eaten it this many times, it's a real good place... 🐶🐶🐶 Recommended! If you're looking for a gift dessert or a dessert café near Naebang Station, just go to Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch, haha.
