Sadang Station pub for a second round: beef tripe motsunabe, Sisibibi
In short
Sisibibi is an Asian-style pub on the 2nd floor of a building near Exits 8 and 9 of Sadang Station in Seoul. After the first round of a wedding-invitation get-together, five friends went to Sisibibi for a second round of Hanwoo (Korean beef) tripe and brisket motsunabe (Japanese-style offal hot pot), karaage chicken nanban and soju. With soft lighting and high-quality food, Sisibibi works as a second stop and is good enough to be your first.

Sisibibi in Sadang: how was it as a second round after a wedding-invitation get-together?
Sisibibi, a bar in Sadang, is a perfect spot for a second round after a wedding-invitation get-together. The title says it all. We went to Sisibibi in Sadang for a second round after handing out wedding invitations. We had done the first round at another restaurant and weren't sure where to go next. Then we found Sisibibi, which has a great mood and tasty snacks, so off we went.
The atmosphere really was great, and the food was excellent too. Even though we arrived for a second round, only one table was left and we barely got a seat. That's how popular it is.

Sisibibi is a great place for a date, or for a light second round after a wedding-invitation get-together. But the food quality is so good that it's honestly fine as a first stop too. We had a really fun time. Here's my review.

Sisibibi is close to Sadang Station, but the entrance is a little tricky. Walk to the end of the passage on the building's first floor and you'll find a staircase. You have to go up from there.

Sisibibi interior and seating in Sadang
Inside Sisibibi, the lighting is soft and the mood is lively and buzzing. Wow, so many people. If we'd arrived a little later, there might not have been a seat at all.

It's a bit dim, with lighting that creates a gentle mood, and the room is noisy in a good way.

The interior is nicely decorated, too. Quite a few groups were there for gatherings. There were five of us, so we pulled one extra chair up to a 4-person table.

Sisibibi menu and corkage
Sisibibi is an East Asian-style cooking pub. There's a huge variety of dishes, from raw fish and seafood to soups, main snack dishes and side dishes. Everything looked delicious.

The drink list is long too. Ordering drinks to match the food and mood would be great. Corkage is also available, which isn't easy to find at a bar. It's ₩20,000–30,000 per bottle, with no limit on how many you bring. If there's a particular drink you want, feel free to bring it.

What we ordered for our second round at Sisibibi
We ordered Korean beef tripe and brisket motsunabe, karaage chicken nanban and soju. Since we'd done the first round and were really full, we kept the order simple. Snacks come out as the complimentary side, and you somehow keep reaching for them.

Today's stars are the friends getting married, but we'll let the motsunabe join in too. Here comes the star of the night: Korean beef tripe and brisket motsunabe. What a long name.

The karaage chicken nanban we ordered as an extra snack came out too. Please take good care of our second round.

The motsunabe is boiled over high heat until it sizzles. Tonight's spread is complete. We're full, but it still looks delicious.

Now that the food is here, cheers! Congratulations on the wedding.
How does the karaage chicken nanban taste?
Sisibibi's karaage chicken nanban (fried chicken with sweet-sour sauce) is a drinking snack with plenty of sauce and onions on top. While the hot pot boiled, we ate the chicken nanban first. With lots of sauce and onion on top, oh, wow. It's perfect with drinks.

How does the Korean beef tripe and brisket motsunabe taste?
Sisibibi's Korean beef tripe and brisket motsunabe is packed with ingredients. Loads of meat, and lots of my favorite bean sprouts and tofu. Keep simmering it and you end up with this rich hot pot. We ladled it into bowls and dug in.

It's a flavor that calls for a drink. We'd been left wanting more at the first round, so we ate to our heart's content at the second.

Take a shot of soju, then a bite of motsunabe, and it's pure bliss. Loads of meat. The tripe bursts in your mouth. Everyone kept saying they were full while eating like crazy.

Cleared another table today.
