Hongdae Korean restaurant for a ₩57,000 weekend lunch for two: Anok
Anok is a hanok (traditional Korean house) restaurant on Hongik-ro near Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo, Seoul, serving clear gomtang (beef bone soup), Pyeongyang naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) and braised pork tail jjim. Two friends visited Anok at 1pm on a weekend, ordered all three dishes plus one extra bowl of rice, and paid 57,000 won in total. Verdict: even for someone who can't handle spice, Anok's sweet, not-spicy pork tail jjim was the best dish of the meal.
