Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is on B1 of the Hyundai Outlet in Songdo, so it's an easy stop while shopping. I dropped in after a trip to the outlet. When you shop, you always end up needing a café stop halfway to refill your sugar, right? It's a nice place for a light break 🍦

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar in the Songdo outlet?

It's in the B1 food square: walk straight in past Gong Cha and it's across from the wine shop. Head inside and look for the area with lots of wine. I love ice cream, so I looked into it, and it seems Wunder Coffee Bar currently has just two locations: the main shop in Yeokgok, Bucheon, and this Songdo one.

The food square shops all look pretty similar, so it can be a little hard to find. In that case, I recommend looking for the sign up above 🤗

Hidden menu: how to order a less sweet Wunder Gato

Wunder's signature Wunder Gato comes with a sweet milk base over the ice cream, but you can ask for no milk base, just ice cream with espresso. It's a ❗️hidden menu❗️ tip that isn't on the menu board. The coffee here is good, so you can't really go wrong with anything, but I recommend the Wunder Gato. If you don't like sweet things or want a clean affogato, listen up! Ordering this way lets you taste the pure combination of ice cream and coffee aroma.

Choose hojicha, vanilla or mix for the Gato ice cream

You can pick the Wunder Gato ice cream from three options: hojicha, vanilla or mix. I went with hojicha.

What is hojicha? It's roasted green tea that originated in Japan, made by roasting ordinary green tea leaves, stems and young twigs at high temperature. Roasting reduces green tea's typical astringency and brings out a nutty aroma, they say.

How do the decaf hojicha Wunder Gato and iced Americano taste?

What my friend and I ordered: a Wunder Gato (ice cream with espresso only) and an iced Americano.

I'd already had coffee that morning, so I ordered the Gato decaf, and the decaf espresso tasted nutty. The hojicha flavor was a bit faint, which was a shame, but the coffee itself was good so I enjoyed it plenty. That sweet-bitter combo is so good 🤤

An Americano is the basic of basics in coffee. Maybe because Wunder's coffee is just that good, my friend practically downed the iced Americano in one go, haha.
