A leisurely brunch at Yangsan Oslo Park
You might think of Yangsan Oslo Park as simply the retail complex at Yurim Norway Forest, but once you look around, it is a European-inspired mixed-use shopping space. I come here regularly for the various activities the kids enjoy. There is also everything from snacks to casual dining and lifestyle retail shops.

Above all, the building has a very spacious parking lot, and parking can be registered when you use a store, making it one of the easier places to visit. This time, we skipped the restaurant with a playroom and had some adults-only time. Here is my record of a leisurely brunch at Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch.
There is no separate playroom, but it is a Yes Kids Zone with high chairs and children’s tableware all ready, so families can visit comfortably too.

Nordic-inspired interiors and spacious seating
The entire restaurant has the Nordic-inspired interior style I love—it was apparently designed with inspiration from Sweden’s Nationalmuseum. Looking it up, it really did feel as though the elegant, classic atmosphere had been faithfully brought into the restaurant.

With brunch, the food matters, of course, but a big part of visiting is enjoying this kind of atmosphere. It is the kind of place where simply spending time in the space feels leisurely.

Rather than being overly decorated, it felt like the interior itself took center stage. The openness created by the especially high ceilings made every seat feel appealing, even those away from the windows.

There are tables that look great for groups, too.

Personally, I found the arrangement of the tables and furniture, with their warm-looking materials, incredibly comfortable.

The napa cabbage salad and rosé pasta we ordered
Bueokgan’s bestsellers are the napa cabbage Caesar salad, truffle gnocchi, Kung Pao pilaf, jambon pizza, and Bueokgan steak. We could not possibly skip the popular dishes, so we ordered right away. While waiting, I kept looking around the restaurant, and I loved its unusual, exotic feel—something you do not often come across.

Napa cabbage Caesar salad
The napa cabbage was a little softer and sweeter than romaine, letting the salty, nutty flavor of the Caesar dressing come through.

Most of all, who could dislike that nutty aroma that comes out when it is grilled?

They bring scissors and tongs in advance, so just cut it into easy-to-eat pieces. Nutty and salty.
Rosé pasta
Rosé pasta is something I always love, and the portion was better than I expected. The tomato’s tanginess blends with the rich, smooth cream, making it potentially very addictive for anyone who loves rosé pasta’s distinctive flavor.

Especially because the shrimp were bigger and plumper than they look in the photos!

In this rosé pasta with shrimp and button mushrooms, the mushrooms had absorbed the sauce, adding savory depth and richness. Pasta simply cannot go without shrimp, right? The smooth noodles, springy shrimp, and nutty, savory button mushrooms made this rosé pasta truly the best.

Kung Pao pilaf with sous-vide chicken
They told us that the sous-vide chicken could look pink inside, but that it was fully cooked, so not to worry haha. It is an Asian-style fried rice where the chicken goes beautifully with the salty, spicy Kung Pao sauce.

I had never even heard of Kung Pao sauce before, but apparently it is made by mixing soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili, sugar, garlic, and more. It has a Chinese-style sauce kind of feel? Reviews of this were so good that I really wanted to try it, and it was not overwhelmingly salty overall, which was nice.
There were also so many kinds of pizza, and I heard the pizza dough is supposed to be that good! Seeing all the repeat-visit reviews makes me think I need to come back and try every menu item. I really loved the exotic atmosphere, and the food was so good that the whole experience felt spot-on.

The vintage furniture and assorted objects inside the restaurant were apparently selected directly in Europe, so be sure to enjoy the space’s depth and classic atmosphere. ✨️
