Incheon burger shop with a kid: truffle mushroom set at Hippo Burger

Today I stopped by with my kid for a little while in the afternoon, haha. It's Hippo Burger, said to be a great handmade burger place in Woonwon City, close to Gajeong Market~!!

Where is Hippo Burger Woonwon City, and what are the hours?

Hippo Burger Woonwon City is on Basement 1 of the Woonwon Linstrauss Alice Ville retail building, 45 Seogot-ro, Seohae-gu, Incheon. It's open 11:00–23:50 every day except Wednesday, when it's closed, with a break from 15:00 to 16:00. A notice said the grand opening was on Wednesday, July 1.

If you park in the underground car park, come up via Gate 6 of the retail building~!! If you're walking, it's on the same floor as Ashley and Starbucks.

Hippo Burger signature menu and prices

The signature items are the Bacon Mash Burger and the Truffle Mushroom Burger. The Bacon Mash Burger is the signature burger featuring the softness of mashed potato, and the Truffle Mushroom Burger (₩8,900) is known for its homemade truffle sauce and the deep flavor of mushrooms.

They say Hippo Burger makes its patties in-house every day from fresh beef~ It had been a while since I visited a handmade burger place. My kid loves burgers, and these shops seem hard to find these days, so I went since it's near home. The brioche buns are also kneaded and baked in the shop, which is so cool, right~!! You could feel the care put into every single ingredient. We picked two of the kid's favorite menu items~!!

Hippo Burger atmosphere and seating

You order at a kiosk, and you can see the cooking going on inside~ The interior and the mood are nice too.

The character in the middle is so cute, isn't it~? It's set up like a storybook, so you keep looking at it, haha. It's also great as a photo zone. The inside is clean too~ It's good for eating in, and since it was evening, lots of people were getting takeout, haha.

There are spots where two people can sit and eat. Near the front there are also disposable hygiene gloves, so grab a pair if you need them and dig in. Good good~!!

How did the American double cheeseburger set taste?

The Hippo Burger set came with a drink, and it was bigger than I expected, with a generous portion~ The fries were fried crispy and so tasty too.

The burger looks great too. It's packed with patty and loaded with vegetables, and it's really big. It goes well with the cheese, the patty and all the vegetables inside. A handmade burger where everything fits together~!!

The springy bun was nicely toasted and the patty inside was cooked just right, so the harmony and the combination were the best~!!

The American double cheeseburger set has lots of cheese~ and a generous meat patty, and the grilled flavor is so good that it's the kind of taste you keep thinking about. The cheese soaks in just right, so the flavor is really rich. The flavor spreading through your mouth was superb, haha.

How did my kid like the truffle mushroom burger set?

The truffle mushroom burger set is what my kid picked. The kid chose both, but said this was the best of what they tasted, haha. They said they've always liked handmade burgers and asked to come again, haha.

Lots of vegetables inside too, right~? The vegetables are good, nicely grilled. The seasoning and cheese soak in really well, which is nice~!! Haha. And a cola is a must, haha. They gave me a cup of ice, so I drank it nice and cold.

Is Hippo Burger a good Woonwon City burger place to go with a kid?

Hippo Burger Woonwon City is a nice stop when you're out for a stroll with a kid, and if you're looking for a good handmade burger place nearby, give it a visit~!!

The atmosphere is great, there are handmade burgers that are nice to share with a kid, and the range of burgers is really wide. My kid said, haha, let's come again, it's so good. A handmade burger that fills your whole mouth, a total handmade burger gem, haha.
