It's right there as soon as you come out of the Sadang Station exit, so it was easy to find!

There's a yellow neon sign right on the corner of the brick building, so it stands out even from a distance 😉

The vibe and seating at Weizenhaus near Sadang Station
The entrance of Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 is a staircase down to the basement, but the ceilings are high so it doesn't feel cramped at all. It kind of gave off an exotic feel, like going to a bar overseas haha.

Once you go down, it's much bigger than you'd expect! I was surprised. It's a two-level structure with second-floor seating too, so it seemed great for group dinners ❤️

I visited around 9pm on a weeknight, and it wasn't too crowded, which I liked!

I'm not sure if it's an actual beer machine haha, but it was so big and interesting-looking that I took a photo!
42,000 won for two — what did we order?

How does the Weizenhaus 4-type craft beer sampler (18,000 won) taste?

The Weizenhaus beer sampler is 18,000 won for a small taste of four different craft beers. Since it was our first visit, we wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered the sampler!!! Perfect for a first visit.

Here's my review of all four beers!!!
Weiss (wheat beer) · ABV 5.0%
A refreshing fruity aroma with a smooth finish! The carbonation isn't too strong, so it was easy to drink lightly!

Golden Ale · ABV 4.5% / IBU 11
An ale with a citrusy freshness! Low bitterness, so I think even people who aren't great at drinking beer could enjoy this comfortably haha.

Harry Potter (dark ale) · ABV 5.5% / IBU 9
Coffee and chocolate notes, but not heavy — smooth instead! Personally the most memorable beer for me ❤️

Pale Ale · ABV 5.1% / IBU 33
A gentle hoppy aroma with tropical fruit notes! It's the most bitter of the four, so I think it would suit people who really love beer!

Weizenhaus beef tacos, 2 pieces (12,000 won) — is there a lot of cilantro?
The Weizenhaus beef tacos are 12,000 won for 2 pieces, with soft tortillas piled generously with beef, plus cilantro, salsa, guacamole, and lettuce haha. The beef is seasoned savory-salty, and it went really well as a beer snack.

There's quite a lot of cilantro in there, so if you can't eat cilantro, you might want to ask them to leave it out when ordering haha (I personally loved it 🤤)

What does the tomato hangover pasta (12,000 won) taste like?

The Weizenhaus tomato hangover pasta is 12,000 won, made with a tomato sauce that includes mussels and corn, with a light, brothy soup that really does feel like a hangover cure like the name suggests. I ordered it purely because the name made me curious! Thanks to the mussels, it has a refreshing taste, making it good to eat in between sips of beer 😊
