Dog-friendly Hanam Misa Chinese restaurant with cold soybean noodles
In short
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch (오형제황제누룽지탕 하남미사본점) is a nurungjitang (scorched rice soup) Chinese restaurant on Misa-daero in Hanam, Gyeonggi, where dogs are welcome indoors and large group tables suit family gatherings. The Sudal couple booked a window table for four and had the Hwangje Jeongabok Nurungjitang (28,000 won) and cold soybean noodles (12,000 won), along with house-made dongchimi, baek-kimchi and green onion kimchi and a self-serve side bar. Hi, this is Otter, a travel and food blogger :D Today I'm recommending O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch for a Hanam Misa family gathering spot. · Hours: Daily 11:00–21:20 *Open normally even during Chuseok · Location: 10-min walk from Hanam Pungsan Station · Parking: O (large free parking lot) · Group seating O, indoor dog-friendly O, high chairs O
I was looking for a place in Hanam Misa that could cover both health and flavor, and went with my husband to O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch. The hall is spacious and comfortable, and it even allows indoor dog companions, so it's totally perfect as a family gathering spot to bring your parents or your dog along. Here's my honest review after a satisfying, filling meal 🐾
Where is O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa, and is parking free?

O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch is right in front of Misa Cycle Park, on the 1st floor of 616-1 Misa-daero, Hanam-si. Since it's right by Misa Cycle Park, it's great to combine with a Misa outing.

There's a large free parking lot spanning the front, side, and even rear of the restaurant, so I could park comfortably without any worry. It's also just a 10-minute walk from Hanam Pungsan Station on Line 5, so it's a fine spot even for those getting around on foot.
Big hall, dogs allowed indoors: why it works for group gatherings

O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch has no private rooms, but it has a large hall with wide seat spacing and group tables. The moment I opened the door, a spacious hall stretched out on both sides. There are no private rooms, but the spacing between seats is generous, the openness is great, and there's plenty of group seating too — really optimized for big family gatherings or group dining.
Thanks to booking ahead, we were seated at a bright 4-person window table! The weather was sunny, so we got to eat while enjoying the view outside, even more relaxed and delicious.
Here's a tip you really can't miss! If you visit after booking via Naver Reservation, they generously throw in 2 crispy-outside-juicy-inside wang-gun-mandu dumplings plus a refreshing glass of lemonade as a free service — so I strongly recommend always reserving ahead here!

And O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang is a rare find in Misa — a restaurant that allows indoor dog companions, which is amazing news for dog owners! In a tastefully partitioned inner spot, there was a pup in a stroller resting comfortably haha.

Self-serve side bar and three house-made kimchi
And even before the main dish arrived, the side dishes I tasted were impressive — this place genuinely exceeded expectations as a banchan (side dish) restaurant! There's a neatly maintained self-serve bar so you can help yourself to more without feeling awkward, plus refreshing oranges perfect as a dessert palate cleanser after the meal!

On top of that, I didn't expect to taste house-made kimchi at a Chinese-food-based restaurant! Not factory-bought kimchi, but carefully hand-made kimchi that they even sell separately — it showed real dedication even down to the side dishes, which built a lot of trust. The dongchimi (watery radish kimchi) and baek-kimchi (white kimchi) were truly on par with a dedicated Korean restaurant — I'm still thinking about them!
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang menu and prices
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang's signature dish is, as the name suggests, the nurungjitang (scorched rice soup)! From basic seafood to seafood abalone, maesaengi (seaweed), and the premium Jeongabok version, it comes piled high in a generous stone pot, priced between ₩18,000 and ₩28,000. There's also a solid lineup of Chinese dishes like tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), chili shrimp, and yurinki (crispy chicken with sauce), making this a Hanam Chinese restaurant that satisfies all ages.

The drinks menu is complete too, with soju, beer, makgeolli, Yantai gaoliang liquor, and even non-alcoholic beer (Cloud)! Since I'm off alcohol for my health and always check for non-alcoholic beer when eating out, this was a welcome find!
Hwangje Jeongabok Nurungjitang (₩28,000) / Cold Soybean Noodles (₩12,000)
The banchan lineup that comes with every meal

These are the basic side dishes I already praised earlier, rivaling a dedicated Korean restaurant. From fragrant chwinamul (aster greens) to dongchimi, tangy pa-kimchi (green onion kimchi), baek-kimchi, crunchy mu-mallaengi (dried radish strips), and a cabbage salad topped with nutty black sesame dressing — all neatly arranged. There are as many as three kinds of kimchi, and among them, the dongchimi and baek-kimchi were truly on another level.

The dongchimi had a subtle, natural sweetness that wasn't artificial at all, so I ended up drinking the broth straight from the bowl, and the baek-kimchi had a vivid tang that was perfect for resetting the palate between bites of the greasy Chinese dishes ✨ And even chwinamul and mu-mallaengi, which I don't usually eat, suited my taste perfectly — this place clearly has skilled hands!
Hwangje Jeongabok Nurungjitang, 28,000 won: the top-end rice soup
The Hwangje Jeongabok Nurungjitang is ₩28,000, the most premium menu item at O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang, made with the most precious ingredients. Since we came all the way for a nourishing meal, we figured we should go all out, so we ordered this. Fresh seafood is a given, but it's packed with precious pine mushrooms, tender beef tenderloin, slightly bitter fresh ginseng, chewy abalone, and scallops — truly a luxury dish loaded with medicinal-grade ingredients ✨
I thought it would come fully plated from the kitchen, but they brought a piping hot stone pot to the table and poured the broth right in front of us! Along with the sizzling sound, a rich aroma spread instantly, and the moment I saw it, my mouth watered! They say you eat with your eyes too, and this stone-pot performance was absolutely the best!

With every spoonful, these precious ingredients took turns filling my mouth, and it truly felt like a luxurious treat ✨ Tender baby octopus and chewy, nutty ginkgo nuts were hidden here and there, making it fun to chew too! Between the healthy, restorative feel, the filling satisfaction, and the deep savory flavor, this dish perfectly delivered all three — an absolute best!

Cold soybean noodles, 12,000 won, still served in mid-September
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang's cold soybean noodles are ₩12,000, and it was still being sold when I visited in mid-September. Following the hot nurungjitang, I also ordered the refreshing cold soybean noodles. Mid-September is usually when other restaurants have already ended their seasonal menus, so I was delighted this place still had soybean noodles and ordered it without hesitation! The soy milk was thick, nutty, and rich, and the chewy, clingy noodles — as a soybean noodle enthusiast, I fully approve!

It seems they might serve it year-round rather than as a summer-only item! So no matter the season, if you're craving rich soybean noodles, this is a great place to go — soybean noodle fans, take note ✨
Verdict: is it a good family gathering restaurant in Hanam Misa?
- A high-quality restorative meal that's a delight for eyes and mouth
- A side-dish and kimchi restaurant with house-made recipes
- A spacious family dining spot with group seating and indoor dog access
Definitely worth a visit — Hanam Misa restaurant O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang!
