Gangnam restaurant for gondre perilla cream sujebi and abalone pot

Moa Gangnam is a fusion Korean restaurant on Teheran-ro 5-gil near Gangnam Station in Seoul. Visiting for a meetup, the writer ordered gondre (mountain herb) cream sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), abalone mushroom butter pot rice, and green apple and plum ades, and found the perilla-heavy cream sujebi tasted like a cross between cream gnocchi and perilla sujebi. If you love creamy dishes, Moa Gangnam's gondre cream sujebi comes recommended.

Weekday evening terrace seats at Sugar Hill, a Sinheung Market wine

Sugar Hill is a small wine bar and kitchen inside Sinheung Market (신흥시장) in Haebangchon, Yongsan, Seoul. Visiting around 6pm on a weekday, the writer sat on the outdoor terrace and ordered the signature Obok cocktail, the Afterglow highball, sous vide steak strips, and fries for a total of ₩93,000. The fries were unremarkable but the medium-rare steak melted in the mouth, and the terrace's European-street vibe was the real highlight.
