I usually enjoy washing my car myself, so I tend to try all sorts of car-wash products. This time, I was provided with AutoGrooming's AutoGrooming Cube Wash Line, a three-piece set, to try.

What does each product in the three-piece Cube Wash Line do?
The products I used were Indigo Core Pre-Wash, Red Dissolve Dual Wash, and Blue Edge Shampoo. I also look at design when choosing car-wash products, and I liked how clean the packaging looked.

- Indigo Core Pre-Wash is an alkaline pre-wash used before the main wash to loosen organic grime such as bug splatters.
- Red Dissolve Dual Wash is an acidic product for managing water spots and mineral contamination. It can be used for both pre-washing and bucket wash-mitt washing.
- Blue Edge Shampoo is a mildly alkaline car shampoo for the main wash, removing contamination left after pre-washing. I liked how the foam and lubrication made the wash mitt glide smoothly.
Was measuring and using the bottles convenient?
The lid has a double structure, so I worried less about the contents leaking. The cap has markings in 10 ml increments, which made measuring convenient. Getting the amount right for dilution can sometimes feel fussy, but I thought this part would be easy for beginners to use too.

How dirty was the car after the rain?
I washed the car the day after it rained. There was a lot of visible dust and water spotting, so it was in quite a dirty state.

What was Indigo Core Pre-Wash like to use?
First, I used Indigo Core Pre-Wash. I liked how it seemed to loosen and lift away the grime stuck to the car before the main wash.

The process is to check the level of contamination, apply the diluted product with a foam lance or sprayer, let it dwell briefly, then rinse thoroughly with high-pressure water. I could see grime running downward after application, so I was satisfied with its cleaning performance.

How can Red Dissolve Dual Wash be used?
Next, I used Red Dissolve Dual Wash. It felt like it tidied up the spots and built-up grime left after the rain one more time.

For use as a pre-wash, dilute it in a foam lance, apply it, allow a short reaction time, and rinse. For wash-mitt washing, dilute it in a bucket and gently wipe with a wash mitt. I liked that it could be used in both ways, and afterward it seemed like the remaining film of contamination on the paintwork had been cleared up once more.

How were the results and the difficulty level?
After finishing the wash, I felt the car looked cleaner than before. I am not especially skilled at self-service car washing, but I was happy with this result.

Having several products might seem difficult, but once I understood what each one did, it was easy to get the flow down. Loosening grime with a pre-wash, treating it according to the type of contamination, and finishing with the main wash helped make the car-washing routine more systematic.

What I liked in this trial was the clean finish after washing, the convenience of measuring, and the package design. If you want to manage your car wash in separate stages, the role of each product may be worth considering.
