Weekday unlimited at a Jongno board game café: Hero Board Game Cafe
In short
Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch is an indoor board game café in Jongno, Seoul, near Hyehwa Station. We settled into a floor-seating room for HITSTER K-POP, chicken, and croffles, with board games, pool, and Nintendo all available. Verdict: a great-value pick for a long weekday date.

A Daehangno board game café near Hyehwa Station
Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch 📌 Location: 2F, 12 Daehak-ro 10-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea 105 m from Hyehwa Station Exit 2 ⏰ Hours: Mon–Thu 13:00–24:00 / Fri, Sat 12:00–01:00 the next day / Sun 12:00–24:00

Hero Board Game Cafe is about a two-minute walk from Hyehwa Station Exit 2! It is right in one of Daehangno’s hot spots, so it would be great before or after a play. Since there are so many board games, it is also a fun place for families to come with kids (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ If you are driving, use Daehangno Batanggol Parking Lot or Daehangno Arts Theater Parking Lot!

Pool and arcade games beyond board games
We took the elevator up to the second floor and found a spacious, tidy space. There is even a pool table right in the middle, so when board games start to feel a little dull, you can play some pool instead!! It is such an amazing Hyehwa activity because you can enjoy it right there without going to a separate billiards hall ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡ There is also an arcade machine beside the counter! Wow, Street Fighter~~ You can play nostalgic arcade games too, so it is a nice spot even for oldies like me, haha. Does “oldie” mean an old person..? Anyway... I do not really know... but this is a Hyehwa Daehangno board game café for everyone!

Board games chosen by group size
There are soooo many board games. Not only are there lots, they are neatly organized and easy to browse! There are recommended games for different group sizes, so you can comfortably pick a game whether you come as a couple or in a larger group, haha.

There is a self-serve area(?) with board-game supplies and blankets, hahaha. The air-conditioning was on nicely and cool, which I loved, but someone in a group might get cold, you know. In that case, grab a blanket and snuggle under it, haha. When you are done playing, just leave it at the return station!!

A Hyehwa Daehangno board game café where you can even play Nintendo! I want to try the driving game..!! I absolutely have to next time. It is not somewhere you only sit and play board games; with Nintendo and pool too, I think families with kids could have a blast here!

Floor-seating rooms and weekday unlimited play
There are so many game rooms inside. Some have chairs, while others are floor-seating rooms where you take off your shoes, so you can choose whatever you prefer, haha. We chose a floor-seating room so we could relax and enjoy ourselves even more!

This is the room we used. It is spacious and cozy, right?? Haha. There are slippers out front too, so it is easy to pop in and out. There is a usage guide inside, so just read it before you start. The base rate is ₩3,000 per hour, but weekday unlimited play is ₩5,000 per person!! How could we not do that?? When they told us, we immediately went, this is it! Haha. If you have time on a weekday, definitely choose unlimited play. It is good for dates, and even better for hanging out with friends (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ There are lots of board games outside, but you can browse them on the tablet in the room and simply go pick them up! It even lists recommended games and how to play, making this a Hyehwa Daehangno board game café where beginners can feel completely at ease too.
The day we ordered chicken and croffles
There is such a wide variety of food too! One menu item per person is required, but the prices are affordable, so you can enjoy it without feeling burdened. They even have chicken and bingsu (shaved ice dessert), so it seems like you could eat while playing board games all day!! Spicy chili garlic soy sauce chicken ₩10,000 Dessert Combo (Daehangno Branch) ₩9,000 We had already eaten before coming, but there were too many delicious-looking things... We could not resist, hahaha.

This is board game café food..! Insane, seriously, hahaha. We properly enjoyed chicken and croffles. Honestly, I do not expect much from food or drinks at a board game café, but everything here was pretty good quality~

The chicken is a little spicy and savory, so it is totally addictive, haha. The meat was super tender too, making it really delicious. After the chicken, a cool, sweet ice-cream croffle is basically heaven ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡ There is also a compartment for your drinks, so you can put them there and eat comfortably without worrying about spills! I had an iced Americano, and it was neither sour nor overly bitter—clean and refreshing~

Ending our date with HITSTER K-POP
Playing board games happily while eating~~ HITSTER K-POP was so fun when we played it before that we jumped right into it again!! K-pop... I definitely know more songs... but apparently that has nothing to do with being able to guess them? Haha. Still, we played board games, lay down and rested, haha, and had a very happy date (ꈍヮꈍ)ෆ With weekday unlimited play, you can enjoy board games at such great value!
