What did we have for lunch during our Mukho trip?

During our Mukho trip, we went to Mukho Sotbokkeumtang for lunch. That day, we wanted something other than sashimi or seafood, so we chose dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew).

Even when traveling, I tend to look for a place where I can have a filling meal. I stopped in because I was curious that I could try dakdoritang in Mukho.

How was the small dakdoritang for two?

The two of us ordered the small dakdoritang. We were looking for something that would not feel too heavy, so it was nice to be able to order a small size. While we waited, the aroma of dakdoritang rose from the table.

We ate the dakdoritang while keeping it warm and simmering. When I had the chicken and broth together, they went well with rice.

When I eat dakdoritang, the flavor of the broth matters to me. Adding a little broth to my rice at a time kept me reaching for more. The chicken was also easy to pick up piece by piece, and although it was a small portion, it was more filling than we expected for two.

How was it as a travel lunch instead of seafood?

In Mukho, I usually think of sashimi or seafood first, but this time I felt we had made a good choice with dakdoritang. It was also a nice change when similar foods keep appearing during a trip.

What I liked that day was being able to eat leisurely while talking. Rather than quickly sorting out a meal while moving between places, we sat down to warm dakdoritang and ate slowly, which felt like a brief rest in the middle of the trip.

It suited a lunch when I was craving something spicy and warm. We could fill up before heading to our next stop, so I think I will remember it when deciding on lunch in Mukho.
