Burger shop near Icheon City Hall: chewy potato chicken at Gladyburger

It had been a while since I last had a handmade burger, so I finally went to Gladyburger!!! The Icheon Jungri District branch is near Icheon City Hall, it's famous as a Jungri District favorite, and I stop by often whenever a handmade burger craving hits!!:)

Where is Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch, and what is it like?

Gladyburger is on the 1st floor of 72-3 Buak-ro, Icheon, Gyeonggi, and there's no break time, which makes it even better! haha The storefront is so pretty and eye-catching that you really can't miss it!!:)

There are lots of government offices around, so it's known as an Icheon office-worker favorite, and it's popular for delivery and takeout too!! haha A friend who lives in Icheon says she has been to Gladyburger several times!!!

Gladyburger interior and self bar

Inside, there are seats for everyone from solo diners to big groups. The interior is just as pretty as the outside!!:) The cute little props put me in a good mood, and it's great in Icheon for eating alone, getting together or going on a date 💕💕

The self bar has sauces, house-made pickled onions, water, wet wipes and more!! haha They even thoughtfully put out disposable gloves so you can hold your food and eat!!!

Gladyburger menu and what I ordered

The menu covers burgers, sets, sides and drinks!!:) I was so hungry that I looked it over the moment I walked in, and with so many choices I always end up with a happy dilemma haha

This time I ordered the Gladyburger I always trust, a cider, plus the chili whole mozzarella sticks that are hot on social media lately and the chewy potato chicken!! haha

Everything is made to order, so it was about 10 minutes of happy waiting ><haha The whole time the smell of burgers and fried food made me even hungrier~ haha After the wait, the burger and sides looked even better than I expected ❤️

Every now and then I ate the shop's house-made pickles too, and they cut right through the richness!! haha

What does the chewy potato chicken taste like?

I added seasoned sauce on the side for the chewy potato chicken, and it was a perfect match!! haha I'd been craving seasoned (yangnyeom) fried chicken lately, and I figured the potato and chicken combo would be good, so I ordered it!!!

It's much chewier than kkwabaorou (Chinese-style sweet and sour fried pork), and way tastier than regular fried chicken~ haha

Drink: Zero Sprite

And you know a Zero Sprite is the must-have conscience-saver at the end!!:) It's sweet and fizzy, and sipping it between bites feels clean! haha

What goes into the signature Gladyburger?

And now the main event, the handmade burger!! The signature Gladyburger has a bun baked in-house from scratch, so it has more flavor and chew than an ordinary burger bun! haha There are so many burger places these days, but few that do it properly, and Gladyburger in Jungri-dong is the real deal ❣️❣️

Inside the Gladyburger are a well-grilled patty, flavorful cheese, avocado for extra richness, and fresh tomato and lettuce!!! There's bacon too, so it's simply can't-go-wrong delicious!!!!

I ate it down to the very last bite!!!! I'd like to try the other burgers too, but there's a reason I keep going back to this Gladyburger~~ haha

Chili mozzarella sticks are for cheese lovers

The chili whole mozzarella sticks are a side of whole mozzarella fried, with a lightly spicy sauce. If you love cheese, you'll definitely like it!!!! The moment I took a bite I was desperate for a beer haha
