Barirus is a two-story bakery café and brunch restaurant on Bongseosan-ro in Paju-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi. The Bari Schüpfer and the American brunch were filling enough to split between two people, and brunch is only ordered from 10am to 3pm. With an art exhibition space, floor seating and an outdoor tent, Barirus is an easy stop to add to a Paju drive.
On the Rail is a large late-night café on Imjingak-ro in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi, sitting right beside the train tracks. On a cool evening drive the writer ordered the signature einspänner, a train cookie and an Anpanman cookie, then looked around the outdoor campfire area and the railway photo zone. The thick cream of the einspänner and the buttery cookies went so well together that On the Rail was worth the drive out to the edge of Paju.
